    100 Had an old 4g63 Mitsubishi motor that literally sat on the side of the house, outside, for a decade. Buddy bought it and tore it down to send parts to machine shop for a rebuild. All of the main and rod bearings still had oil on them believe it or not and were drenched in oil.

    Many people believe the bbq tick is DI HPFP noise along with DI injectors. Could be. Think the jury is still out on that.

    The composite pan is actually a damn nice piece, lightweight and seals up awesome. I can see how the steel unit is cheaper and probably quieter.

    Looks like filter pleats from a new engine ridding itself of block casting imperfections.... not necessarily an engine with that kind of mileage. Hard to say, but if hot oil pressure is still strong, run it.
