You’d have to build a jig to heat treat those forks after welding to straighten them out and bring the strength back. Aluminum distorts a ton when welded, all else being equal. Especially fillets like those shown, and welding castings can have variable results depending on the casting quality...
Yes I did bump steer tie rod ends and set it up correctly measuring bump steer through travel and while the steering was more predictable it did not improve steering feel really.
dont forget the car will freak out when there's no auto trans any longer. Will need to get that addressed in various modules in the car, PCM, BCM, and IPC, probably more.
Thank you for the suggestion. I was wondering about doing something like this so appreciate the idea. I was just wondering how to figure out if I should slide the boot to compress or extend it? need to measure and cycle the suspension without the coilover in and see.
I keep ripping axle boots, a common problem with both regular S550 and GT350 axles in racing and/or when lowered very much.
Anyone with experience with stretch CV boots? Or know any manufacturer that makes more flexible aftermarket CV boots I can try and find an off the shelf boot with the...
I never figured this out either as all the wires going in/out of the headlight switch only have 5v. They’re just 5v as they go to/from the BCM and the BCM triggers the relays to switch 12v to the headlights and I didn’t want to keep digging and find one of the 12v out to the headlights and pull...
I’ve had both bronze and apex is darker. Not a ton but noticeable.
the apex also look better IMO, the spoke shape is more dnyamic and curved. But the r357 look real good too.

You may be able to use the Ecoboost body harnesses, but they do differ based on options from the factory. May or may not work. My Ecoboost to coyote swap was 2016 chassis and 2020 drivetrain and harness plugs were different. But since yours are both 2017 you might be ok. Look up my prior posts...
Good luck hope it works for you, please post up your results as well. I’ve wondered if this was just a solution for my scenario or one that can work for a number of situations.
It would stretch the axles a bit most likely, and could tear the boots as a result. Boots are not replaceable, would need a whole axle.
I removed the thrust washers on my GT and the axle cv’s had to extend a bit due to lack of thrust washer thickness. Blew an axle boot first event out.
