Update: The Russell GTO Flex Lines work like a charm and allow unrestricted access to the dip stick. They're a little longer than ideal for this installation but they're cheap, readily available, and high quality. (I cut a relief in the plastic cowl cover lip for extra clearance.) I tried...
Your GT4 studs have been on my car for a few years and, so far, winter road salt hasn't attacked them. Where do you draw the line of a good vs bad stud once corrosion becomes visible?
With the Coyote's high compression ratio, it's just begging for E85. If you have access to such fuel, just do it and wake up your engine. I'm using Wengerd's 93 tune and E85 Tune and the 93 Tune was fine but, once I switched to E85, there's no going back.
Nope, it all about cost savings, and deleting the spare tire is a huge one. Ford was too cheap to develop an aluminum spare wheel/tire system to clear the low volume Brembo front caliper models. As an alternative to the pricy aftermarket spare tire offerings, you could also repurpose a...
For about $1K Morimoto and AlphaRex offer LED headlights with better than OEM output. If you want style over performance there are cheaper alternatives for such a popular car like Mustang.
Like the video shows, " The mustang back outside with its new @apexwheels ❤️‍🔥" Apex has a variety of forged and flow-formed wheels you could match up. Nice looking car.
The 1961 Belvedere in even more homely than that 1961 Phoenix. I was restoring my 1961 Fury when my Mach 1 was unexpectedly built and delivered (courtesy of the Flat Rock Plant Manager) right before I was laid off with 3000 other Ford ICE staff and he was transferred to the Ford Lightning...
How Josh Haliburton can still have a job is mind boggling and Billy Choo Choo needs to retire and hand the company over to someone who has a clue how to run a car company. Sorry you had a field failure when Ford hasn't addressed this issue for over a year. I'm not playing the odds with my...
I've got an extended handle and weighted knob and there is hardly any movement. The OEM motor mount-Transmission mount system is "turned" stiffer on the Mach 1 and PP1 applications but it is still very compliant. Is it possible one or more of your mounts are bad, contributing to the movement?
Had to chuckle at the 1961 Dodge Dart at the back of the shop, you don't see many of those homely full size Mopars..... anywhere. They were reskinned Plymouths (slightly shorter and lighter than other full size Mopars) that could walk away from most Ford or GM challengers of the time with short...
Someone from a strict emissions state, please educate me how that sound tube contraption can be associated with anything related to emissions? The round "canister" piece by the shock tower is a sealed rubber diaphragm so the air inlet sound tube port is a sealed port regardless of where it occurs.
....So I just got the KPM800HP Pump but, since actual installed details of their Filter are still pending, I decided to try the GT500 DYI Filter approach (about 1/2 price of the KPM filter) using the Deatchwerks Ford Filter with stainless mesh 10 micron replaceable filter. The integrated...
...So how bad is your fuel mileage? My NA Mach 1 w/ Tremec is at 10 mpg and my son's NA 2022 GT w/10R80 was at 15 mpg. (Both Wengerd E85 Tunes) I'm hoping to get my car on the track, soon, so I suspect I'll need plenty of refills.
No one want's to even look at my air bag warning light situation because my seating system is not OEM. Supposidely, the SRS air bag system still works but I don't know how the advanced "smart" part of is affected. (My magnetic occupant position sensors are positioned fully forward on the seat...
I considered ordering the rear seat delete factory option but I couldn't stomach spending extra for less content when Ford should have offered a credit. If you've got $1K to burn and want to save weight, skip the authentic Ford rear seat delete kit and get some functional lightweight front...
Glad you found a workaround. I installed aftermarket seats in my 2022 Mach 1 and used a spare wiring harness and passenger seat bladder from junkyard seats to retrofit into the aftermarket seats with the 2 ohm resistor hack and the seat belt warnings and passenger occupancy detection are...
Yikes, sounds like the BCM is still confused? I used a BFH and pounded reliefs in those pinch welds for better clearance in hopes of avoiding wiring issues. Maybe try disconecting the battery for a while (reboot if all else fails) and clearing any codes? There's not much hardware to go wrong...
I'm out of it and don't have a clue what any of this means?
However, I got a good chuckle out of " 8008135 " it also reminded me of the endless debates of who made the better scientific calculator TI or HP. (It didn't matter, any calculater was better than a slide rule.)
