Real world example - Turbo car left lane making 2 psi less then my supercharged car in the right lane. Turbo car trap’d 151mph & some change that day to my best of 147 mph. Same fuel and all other variables very similar. Turbo car makes mo PWR with less boost - end of thread.
Sorry - hadn’t revisited this thread in forever. Continued to give the AMP MT82 weekly trac beetings and 2nd gear synchro bit the dust last fall. I threw in the towel and converted to a TH400 and the car is MUCH quicker and faster.
You don’t know until you test but I should consistently run your PB ET or quicker with my re-stalled converter :cheers:
If you lived in my area I would offer free tow service lol but I’ll have my hands full putting the car back together and working out any last minute kinks.
I have the Holley Gen I. I had my local machine shop do some light porting which was really just cleaning up some weld slag and blends. With E85 and V-7 JT-b the car put down 846 RWHP and the power was still climbing all the way until I let off at 7,500 rpm.
ATI 20% OD balancer is 8.074 dia. ATI 15% OD balancer is 7.795 dia. Auto cars seem to last longer then stick cars but overspin your blower that much and get ready to eventually send your headunit back to Vortech for a major rebuild. Convert to oil fed if you want to push max PWR...
