This is an old post but wanted to close it out in case someone has the same problem. It simply turned out to be a wiring harness that had come undone. The dealer said they had to remove the bumper to get to it but got it reconnected and I have had no subsequent problems.

Honestly I dont know how to vote. Would I like more HP? Sure, I wouldn't turn it down and would drop some modest dough to make more... but the practical side of me thinks: this is my daily driver. I drive it year round including in that mustang-unfriendly white stuff. Current HP still rocks but...
