Scrub it with a PH neutral soap and a hard bristle or brass brush. Spray it with muriatic acid and give it light rubdown with any cleaner/protector you want. You blower hat is coated so don't use muriatic acid on that. This is only for bare aluminum. I clean/etch aluminum with it all the time.
