Yeah this is the Ecoboost, I updated the title. What makes me think it could be a blown motor was the very loud clunk and then all the grinding I heard. Hopefully they'll be able to get into it today and let me know. I didn't sleep well last night.
My car was just taken by flatbed to the dealership so at the time of this posting I do not know the exact problem. I will post updates as information becomes available.
What happened though is quite disturbing and has me pretty upset. I have a great relationship with my dealership and I...
I'm going to start a seperate thread for my issue but the same problem happened to me today. Was stopped at a traffic light and when it turned green I hit the gas but it didn't have any acceleration. I then gave it more gas and it took off. About 5 seconds after that I heard a very load clunking...
My best is a 5.0s 0-60, in my 4 banger :) It's all about the launch as others have said, ride out 2nd until you hit 60 mph. Heating your tires up a bit does help a lot, it will reduce some spinning on take off and when going into 2nd. I'd also try short shifting into 2nd right before you...
The front of my RS1 is what sold me on it. She gets so many looks driving around and it all starts with the front end. Eventually I plan to wrap the roof in a gloss black and I'll have to decide what to do with the hood scoop. The flat black vinyl doesn't look bad but it will be kind of out of...
A couple months ago I ordered a Cold Air Intake from MMR's eBay page. They processed and shipped it out extremely fast. The kit came as expected in perfect condition. The install was a breeze as advertised. It only took me about 30 minutes to remove the stock intake and install the MMR intake...
Ideally you want to have it put on when new but it can be done anytime really. My car goes into the garage for storage on the 5th of November also getting go fast and handle better parts. Excited about that but not being able to test them until spring is going to be painful.
Check into getting a professional rust inhibitor sprayed on to the undercarriage too. There are so many options luckily. Yeah 75 anywhere is fricken horrible lol.
Also, if you're serious about getting a Roush.. Contact my friend Lyle Sturgis at Tindol Ford up in NC 704-867-8341. He is a great guy and will get you a fair price for sure. He even delivers the cars up to 250 miles away for free.
I knew I wanted an Ecoboost Mustang the moment they announced them. The only thing wrong with them is they'll never sound like V8's. I'll drop about 10K total into it and have a much faster and far better handling car that that RS2. I always say though to each their own, get what you want and...
My best advise is to avoid the freeways and don't drive the car in the rain or winter. If you really want to keep it looking nice for a long time you have to make sacrifices. Of course the other option is to just drive it and not care so much which is very hard to do.
Keep in mind the 15's are the 50th year. That means something to some people but nothing to others. As for the Roush models, I'm surprised they're not budging on the prices. The sticker on my RS1 was 43k and I got it for 38k.
Not being able to drive it does suck but it really is worth it. I'll be modding mine more all winter though at least. I hope to have everything done by the end of March and on a dyno getting tuned after the snow goes away in April.
Buy a cheap car to get you through winter. Not worth ruining a beautiful car. I picked up a decent 2002 Taurus for $1400, put $1000 into it and it's good to go. I even stopped driving my Mustang in the rain.
I'm in SW Oakland county and go to lots of events. If you've been to any big shows recently you've probably seen me around. I have a 2015 RS1 in white. Always looking to meet new people and make some friends. Hit me up if any of you ever are looking to do something. I'm hoping to hit a TT night...
Hello guys. I bought a 2015 RS1 a few weeks back and am already going crazy with mods. I'm loving the car so far and can't wait to finish off the performance mods I have planned.
So far I've added the following:
MMR Cold Air Intake
JMS BoostMax and PedalMax Chips
MRT Hood Struts
Steeda...
