I understand the point\ask. But you realize when doing this, you're literally killing the light out which barely exists from these optics of LED strips anyway.

It's interesting, as if you look at the connector\plug on the light assembly itsself, you can see where they have the bullet plug coming out (where the 3rd brake light lead comes and plug into each tail light) theres another wire in there as well, almost where it would source its brake from...

The third brake light harness is actually needed for the brake lights to work on the tails..... Thats where it sources its brake signal from. If you dont hook up the third brake like connection you wont have brake lights on the tails. I tested this with and without it. Just an FYI for those who...

Not sure what you did to be honest. I've done this to mine and many others. I use oven cleaner to strip the surface, sanding pad to scuff it up, adhesion promoter, then paint with and clear with high heat enamel. Never had something like this happen. Im sure you can use JB Weld to adhere it...
