I had a whitetail buck total my 2021 Mustang GT Premium 401A and bought a new 2022 Mustang GT Premium California Special and after I got my dealership to reprogram the power control module on the newer one I felt that it was slightly faster than the 2020 but without a doubt that was a subjective...
I've noticed similar improvements also.... My MPG has leveled off at about 2mpg better than before. Still very happy and even trying to repeat my issue I had before reprogramming there were no problems.
OK... Further information on my issue that was fixed by my dealership Friday.
The error code was P0301
The Technical Service Bulletin was 222464
After several days of driving my fuel economy still overs at about 24mpg and I'm certainly a lead foot so the improvement in fuel economy was...
A quick google found a list of TSB's. A couple that may apply to my Mustang are found below.
The google search I used was "2022 mustang gt tsb reprogram pcm" and the choice I selected was the first one and it came from an F150 Forum....
I have no idea and the service writer is not the type that would like that kind of question. He's not a very friendly guy. I'll try to ask him next week but I'm betting he won't want to be bothered.
Maybe someone else can dig it out.
I imagine that a lot of other Mustang GT's need this update...
Well guys and gals I got the final answer on what was wrong with my '22 GT California Special today when I picked it up from my dealership.
The problem was that the Power Control Module needed to be reprogrammed and there is a Technical Service Bulletin out on it.
I can tell y'all that it runs...
I've read the latest posts on this thread and agree that sometimes this can be a temporary issue for some cars but in my case I suspect it's more than that.
My 2020 Mustang GT Premium 401a that I had previous to this Mustang before a deer totaled it got 3mpg better than my current 2022 GT...
My dealer has agreed to take it in tomorrow morning and to try to fit it in between appointments or to take the place of a cancellation.
I'll report back here as soon as I know something.
I was accelerating onto the interstate here yesterday and as I hit the speed limit (I would NEVER exceed it ;) ) I suddenly experienced a very strange shuddering (for loss of a better word) in my drivetrain somewhere and my check engine light went on.
DAMN!!! DAMN!!! DAMN!!! I thought I'd...
Actually out summers are only 3-4 months but we sure do NOT have mountains and that's the main thing that would convince me to leave Florida again. I lived in the mountains in Colorado for 5 years and I certainly DO miss the mountains.
Well... A whitetail buck decided to total my Rapid Red 2020 GT Premium 401a so a week ago today I picked up a brand new Rapid Red 2022 Mustang GT CS.
I want to take better pics but weather has been crazy here lately. Here are a few taken when we got a rare break in the clouds and rain.
Is...
You should have checked out NW Florida... It's more like Georgia or Alabama weather-wise and yet still the best state to live in. Also the Panhandle isn't nearly as crowded as the rest of the state.
There's a lot of good reasons that Florida is getting a tremendous immigration from the rest of...
Well.... I'm the proud owner of a 2022 Mustang GT CS and will change my avatar sometime this weekend and will start a new thread about my new Stang. Thanks for all the support and suggestions from the 6g people.
I do have one question... Google wasn't any help.
I'd like to know how many 2022...
OK... I'll ask my car salesman buddy today but keep in mind I want the GT Premium 401a package and everything it brings in the way of features and that part isn't negotiable. I got hooked on all those features and I won't get even one of them up.
I don't see any Mach 1 offerings with the same...
The Mach 1 is a great idea and until now I didn't know much about it but I'm thinking it's a bit above what I'm willing to pay.
Thanks for the heads up idea though.
