My '04 Jetta TDI and '13 Jetta TDI both did the same. This is nothing new for manual cars and I wouldn't call it a feature. By design the ECM wants to maintain idle speed so it will try to correct in order to not stall. Again, not a feature, just basic design.

Call it a feature if you like but it really boils down to the engines torque. My issue with the OP's comment is being able to engage the clutch with the emergency brake and not stall. Sorry but that ain't happening unless the clutch is slipping really bad.

I emailed Dustin today about my issue and they are sending out the new idler plate stands. They also emailed me the installation procedure which requires loosening of the SC manifold bolts to pull in the SC for proper alignment as you mentioned.

Well, I started up my car today and to my surprise the belt chirp has returned. Only put on about 200 miles on the car since installing the billet tensioner which did get rid on the chirp initially. After hearing the chirp I decided to remove the tensioner to verify everything was okay with it...
