My 2016 corded the inner edges of the stock fronts by 12k miles. It is the alignment. Had camber bolts installed and a less aggressive alignment. Solved wear problem and eliminated a lot of tramlining. If you do this, it will slow your car down a touch on the track.
The driverside valve cover on my 2016 GT350 has sprung a leak at about 22k relatively easy miles. I have never had this issue with any other car. Any of you have any valve cover issues?
Club raced a BMW on and off from 2002 to 2015. Best event I ever ran in was a club race at the grand am track at California Speedway in Fontana in 2004. The 40 car field consisted of 20 BMWs, 19 Porsches, and one Ferrari. What a blast!
The OEM alignment for the fronts caused cording in my 2016. My front Super Sports corded like that at 12k miles. Had camber bolts put in and had it realigned to avoid the front cording.
My oil dip stick read full (halfway between the 2 holes on the stick) before start up for a drive this morning. I checked it about one hour after shut down and the stick had a little oil showing below the bottom hole. This is the only car I have ever had that had a dip stick so hard to get...
Lol. People are getting stressed because the dip stick tube design creates wildly drastic oil level readings on a $20k engine. Laugh if you want, but I thank God you don't work on my Shelby.
Well, on my 2016 a cold start reads higher and is more accurate than 15 minutes after shut down. We will just disagree on this issue. A morning cold start gives me an accurate reading.
So, to summarize: Check oil in morning after car sat all night, pull dip stick out on firewall side of strut tower brace, pull stick out and and clean before reinserting for a few seconds before pulling stick back out to check.
Also, after some more research it appears that some environmental guideline changed the design of dip stick tubes and getting consistent readings can be difficult because of same. So, if you go from "full" to dry in a day, keep checking. Also, when you check the oil, leave the stick in the tube...
