  1. Auto Cross

I auto-crossed with BMW CCA. They have a X class for non-BMWs. Much more seat time than SCCA auto-cross events.
  2. Auto Cross

Totally agree. I started out doing auto cross, then driving schools, then club racing
  3. 2020 gt350R vs 1965 gt350

Yeah, I imagine that the new one would run a much quicker lap time at the big track at Willow Springs.
  4. Help a new driver! Spirited driving, traction control & sliding for a noob driver

I agree. I used to instruct at BMW CCA driving schools while I was club racing a BMW. The BMW schools (one weekend at a race track) are very good and a deal as far as cost.
  5. Track Tire Options

I used to instruct at BMW CCA driving schools. Great program!
  6. Track Tire Options

Small world! I personally hold a NASA class (GTS4) lap record for CW 13 at Buttonwillow. 1:56.782 in a modified 2001 330ci BMW.

Something that is driven at least a hundred or two miles per month

Prices on drivers, no matter the miles, seem to have leveled off from what I'm seeing online
  11. So Calif 5.2 engine builder/ track car mods

JBA Speed Shop did that? That really does not sound like anything that they would do. They did an excellent job rebuilding my 2004 Terminator. Been going to them since 1996 when I got my '96 SVT Cobra.
  12. Damper mode--no detectable change

Yeah, my comment related only to a GT 350.
  13. So Calif 5.2 engine builder/ track car mods

JBA in San Diego has a good engine department and J. Bittle (owner) has a supercharged 2016 GT350
  14. Damper mode--no detectable change

Surprised all of you aren't always in "sport" unless you are on track. I never use normal.
  15. Goodridge Braided Brake Line Kit...Do I need them?

Steel braided lines won't fail like rubber hoses can at track temps.
  16. Track Alignment Setting

Toe out in front will cause your front tires to cord at the inner edges.
  17. GT350R lowered on Steeda 555-8242 springs

The 20 inch wheels will slow the car as compared to the cf 19 wheels.
  18. GT350R lowered on Steeda 555-8242 springs

To each his own. I would assume what you are doing slows on track performance.
  19. Quick Xineering downshift blip module install review

FYI: Most racers using a manual transmission don't really "heel/toe." They use the left half of their right foot to brake and roll their right foot over to blip the throttle with the right half of their right foot. Much easier!
  20. Quick Xineering downshift blip module install review

All the tech is cool, but I liked it better when you actually had to drive the car instead of a computer.
