Is the OE/Ford Racing 21mm? I seem to remember it being smaller when I checked, but maybe i'm confusing the front with the rear. I need to locate one of those strut sockets...not easy to track down in Aus!
Thanks for the link. That spacer thingo is nifty, much better than the washer method. What is it called and where did you find it? Can I ask why you removed the hub? Also do the ARP studs come with one flat side like that or did you grind them?
Would there be any issue with running significantly smaller rolling diameter on all four corners (provided they are all the same diameter)? I will be running 295/35/18 r-compounds on my track wheels which are quite a bit smaller than the 275/40/19 PP rears.
That link was for an S197 but I'd assume the S550 would have a similar hub set up, at least on the front. The car is only 6 months old and has had no exposure to corrosive conditions so let's hope they come out without too much abuse.
Is there a difference between front and rear? I would have thought the procedure would be the same. What's the purpuse of grinding the base of the stud? Are the ARP studs oversized for the stud holes?
Cheers. I don't have access to a press and don't really want to pull the hubs off so will...
I have some APR studs on the way to me. I understand they can be installed using a press which obviously involves removing the knuckle. Is there a way to do it without a shop press? I will have the caliper/rotor off when I do the suspension install so would like to have a go at it.

I have the PP Pirellis. It's only an issue in the wet. I'd say they're the worst wet performance tire I've ever used. No traction control system would be able to catch the snap oversteer experienced with these tires in the wet, no matter how advanced (I don't feel that the Mustang's TC system is...
hiccup yes mate here in Aus our cars come spec'd as premium performance pack. Don't get me wrong, I am not going to remove it from my car and there is an improvement there (it spins up the tyres with much less input in the rain), it's just different from what I expected. I expected it to be a...
I need another set for my track wheels. Do the US sensors work on our cars or do I need Aus specific parts? What should I expect to pay from the dealer?
TIA
FWIW, I have the front splash guards on mine WITHOUT spacers and still have a couple of rock chips in front of the rear wheels. I will be fitting spacers as well as running wider/lower offset wheels for the track so I'm going to do PPF in this area. Belts and braces.
I fitted mine on the weekend (I did a fairly detailed review but yet to upload the video). Long story short, its not a bad upgrade but the differences are not huge. It does make response sharper particularly in sport+ but its certainly not a night and day difference.
Beautiful looking car, congrats. I take it the wicker bill requires drilling into your track pack spoiler?
Also do the GT350s enjoy the same issues with rear cradle movement as the regular Mustangs? I would have thought Ford would have done something about that for their track orientated...
I always run Castrol SRF in my track cars. Glad to hear they are semi decent, it's not the money that puts me off a race compound, it's undoubtedly the swapping of pads - an extra hour of fiddling before and after every track day, which is time I don't have unfortunately. I'll be running...
