The dealer was in the program, paid his $1000 for one 2016 & one 2017 allocation. The problem is that he is only a "Select" dealer and sells very few Mustangs. Also this area does not sell many Mustangs (Wisconsin) which plays into it. I also believe the area "Select Dealer" Rep. was not doing...
Anyone else waiting for their 2016 GT350 order to be scheduled? Mine was ordered 10/14/15, DORA same date. Has been on unscheduled mat. hold since. Dozens of calls to FP, letters to Mark Fields & William Clay Ford Jr. (why not, can't hurt) case number with Customer Relations (still in progress)...
Ordered & DORA on 10/14/15, VOC soon after. Still on unscheduled materials hold with no one having any idea when it will be built (including Ford Corporate). I figure I may be able to put Collector plates on the car when I receive it! In the 60's I took delivery of HP 390,406 & 427 Galaxies, &...
My dealer is a 1 allocation dealer also, but a fairly large dealer. Your dealer and my dealer must have read the same book. The answer I got is almost word for word with what your dealer told you. Good luck with your order. I have accepted the fact the car I ordered may not get built. I guess...
IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE? I can't imagine anything going wrong with this plan! You just don't "learn" how to drive a manual trans and a high performance car by taking lessons. It takes time and miles, and more important, some smarts. If you want to "treat yourself", go buy a Prius, and stop...
Production of the 2016's ends in 2-1/2 months, so time is running out. No, I wouldn't would not want to piss off my dealer, since even at sticker price he is only going to make $4500 profit on the car, not to mention the 8 new vehicles I have bought from him in the last few years.
The last check with FP, it was Unscheduled-material hold. Your info about the zone manager having to manually pull the allocation is what I thought also, but the dealer owner & sales manager are not aware of that?, or simply they don't have the dealership status to make it happen. I've seen...
Does anyone know how the process for pulling allocations works? I've talked with Ford Corporate, Ford Performance, several sales managers, and dealer owners. The only answer was from my sales manager who says it's a lottery system. Possible, but not probable. Ordered my black track pack...
Talked with Ford Performance about 2016 spring rates. The track pack springs were a heavier rate than base (no track spring specs available from FP), obviously they were not "R" springs because of the lowered ride height of the R, so three different spring rates would be correct. No info from...
2016 Track Package also included "Performance front springs". There is no mention of the springs on the 2017 GT350, just dampners, coolers, and aluminum brace. Being stiffer springs, Ford may not want them on every 2017 GT350, which could cause complaints from those who prefer softer ride.
Correction; The number on that shock is the "engineering" number, not the actual part number. Ask your Ford parts guy to look up a base Shelby front shock for the number, description, and interchange, if any.
One fact that hasn't been mentioned is the ride of both cars. Randy stated the Z was very stiff and felt all the bumps. The R had a very smooth ride. After a few hours of intense racing, the driver of the Z will be more exhausted because of the bad ride, not to mention the toll on the Z overall...
