I haven't experienced this, have run the fuel down to almost nothing.
Maybe I haven't pulled enough Gs or the left turns weren't long enough?
Steeda progressives and sway bars but stock P-Zeros...
I'm fairly certain that Steeda had some involvement with Wilwood's S550 prototyping on the Steeda #20 Yellow GT. I believe they chose Wilwood over the GT350 for weight savings plus 18" wheel clearance.
Give SteedaTech a shout for confirmation.
I've been running them hard also, neutral steer in some drifts, under steer during quick turn ins... You're right though, P-Zeros won't last too long. Being supplied as stock from Ford, I'm somewhat satisfied with the performance. I won't be purchasing them again when the time comes.
Thanks...
37 psi on the fronts (255mm) at operating temps is what I found that they like. I use 35 psi on the rears. (275mm)
What I did not experience is each tread block shaved at an angle. The track sessions "shaving" is even across the tire width. I am running Steeda progressives with their sway bars...
Same here, nibbles when cold, gone when warm.
I had it changed at the dealer after my 1st HPDE track session to ensure it didn't get over heated, it looked great. I made sure the Ford friction modifier was added to the new Ford fluid. No change, nibble still there. (Diff oil got over heated -...
I'm very happy with the Steeda sway bars with their billet mounts, and they are adjustable.
I track the car with Steeda's sport progressive springs and the performance is noticeably improved over the stock Performance Package option. No problems at all in almost 2 years of operation.
Hmmmm, I wonder what happens with substantially thicker oil as it exits the integrated oil cooling jets that spray the bottom of the pistons to keep their temperatures down? Most likely less spray volume thus less cooling.
On hot days at the track, when it's in the 90's, I have thickened the...
I run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20 Full Synthetic.
Like Must_Tang alluded to, there is a lot going on with using the oil to cool things in the Coyote engine...
I installed my Steeda CAI in late '15. I added the Hood Scoops (functional driver side only) in mid '16. I've driven on I-95 in some Florida "monsoons", thru car washes and have never had an issue with water.
Just don't point the garden hose on full blast directly into the scoop, although I...
TJ,
Spherical bearings for the front control arms.
Perhaps even a new control arm specifically designed for vehicles with your lowered ride height performance springs.
TJ,
We need a differential oil cooler.
An air intercooler is the conventional approach but does have placement constraints, rear diffuser requirements with ducting and fan concerns. An alternative would be an engine water intercooler allowing for more flexible mounting constraints, smaller...
What a pleasant surprise to find my car used as a back drop in your advertising.
I can confirm first hand the Steeda parts list below installed and track tested on my ’15 GT PP have functioned flawlessly. These mods represent an impressive performance improvement over the stock Performance...
CONGRATULATIONS Team Steeda !!!
Well Done.
Now I need to return my car to your shop to put the final touches on my suspension uprade with your latest goodies that were still on the drawing board during my last time in.
