At just over 1K miles (~900 highway) I changed the oil to full synthetic, changed oil filter and all the checks that are consistent with an in warrantee dealer visit. When I asked how much he said just under $100. I said Wow. He then said I could use my own oil if I wanted to save money as long...
Having heard of this AC line mounting clamp issue prior to install, I used a dremel grinder with a cutoff wheel to remove the excess stud above the nylock nut. I did not unbolt it, just cut it in place as assembled by Ford. The install went as expected, no clearance issues anywhere.
For those...
There seems to be a lot of discussion/concerns about gearing. I know I had questions before I got mine, so I calculated out what everything "should be" before I actually bought my new PP. I found my calculations (shared here) to be exact as best as I could read from the tach and speedo.
Right you are.
This comment is comming from my wife's perspective, compared to all of her previous vehicles (all were 4 bangers) this one is a race car.
I agree, I could have elaborated that the optimized 1/4 mile gearing set up (and this includes the MT82 gear choices) was for specsmanship. Those details are used for head to head vehicle comparison by many prospective buyers.
Aside, if the intake manifold were to be changed to either the...
I agree with Todd15Fastback, and if you want to push the handeling performance envelope up one more notch, add in the Steeda adjustable sway bars. I can confirm they perform majic when teamed up with their progressives.
In the past I’ve always had GT Mustangs - actually that’s what the term PP use to be, but nowadays GT has been watered down to only mean 5.0L V-8. For me there was no decision to make, it was going to be a PP.
The big problem was my wife wanted an automatic; she didn’t know what a Performance...
I was told that this thermostat change only is intended for and only benefits boosted engines, not for use on naturally aspirated. Any truth to this claim?
I'm currently running 5-50 full synthetic, switched after break in @ ~1000 miles.
My dealer's service manager gave me his blessings on the change over.
I don't claim to be an expert but Ford discontinued the oil squirter's beginning with the 2013 Coyote.
I'm running 5W-50 full synthetic, the oil was changed by my dealer with the service manager's blessings at ~1000 miles after break in. I didn't like the less than 20 PSI oil pressure with the...
I installed the Steeda Stage I Handling Package, so that means my GT Performance Package Springs and Sway Bars are up for grabs. (~ 6892.4 mi)
$100 takes it all.

Stainless Works has a sales video for their system;

At 1:45 into the video is where the sound demonstrations begin.
Changing only the cross over pipe and keeping everything else the same is what you need to hear only the X vs. H pipe sound difference.
Slight issue with mine, but no pry bar needed.
The mounting method used of inside the tube Allen cap bolts means that there is no slop (excess clearance) on that end of the brace mounts. Manufacturing tolerances mostly on Ford’s side of the house means there really is no other way than to just...
I thought I should upload a picture showing the lowered stance. The avatar is too small to see it nicely. (Yes, that's the Atlantic Ocean in the background looking towards the Bahamas.)
I’ve had Steeda’s progressive springs with their sway bars installed last week, 4 wheel alignment was performed. Braking nose dive is greatly reduced, the bouncy ride is gone and the handling is awesome. The car feels glued to the ground and I still clear all the speed bumps in town, another...
