Boyd, can you elaborate which setting you used to keep the fog lights on after the switch button is pressed? I'd also like them to stay on with high beams, DRL, and signals. Is it setting 5? (Power Supply). Thanks!
I do plan on selling the adapters themselves. It would include adapters, 1 spacer (the spacer is only needed on the driver's side or LH side), and an optional harness. (Some folks may want to wire directly to the OEM switch).
I wanted to get a feeler for how many I should start making when i'm...
Covers are definitely on my mind. Diode Dynamics actually makes covers for their SS3 lineup. However, since my version is recessed. They wouldn't work. I'll have to figure out a similar approach. Perhaps covers that have the same hexagonal pattern?
Beam cutoff is not adjustable. Contemplating on providing different angles based on what people prefer. The current cutoff point when mounted to a stock Mach 1 HP is about 26". Diode Dynamics has five different lenses to choose from that have different illumination profiles...
Thanks for the positive feedback! Made my day.
I posted a couple more images in my first post. One for low light and another close up with them turned off.
I did not have the luxury of 3d scanning. Lots of trial and error with fitment. I wanted the parts to snap in place while minimizing the gap between the slots. The SS3's don't give off much heat. I can't confirm with the pro or max SS3's, but most of the time, the lens and housing are cool...
I chose to adapt the @Diode Dynamics SS3 Fog lights for this project. I know another vendor had done the same already, but I wasn't happy with its current design and decided to give it a shot.
Diode Dynamics LED fog lights have excellent reviews and are Made in USA. The ability to customize...
I completely agree with your sentiment and it's been far too long. It is plug and play, just bear with me. Been wanting to do this for awhile now but life...
For willow springs specifically. Does anyone know if the area is secure enough to leave tools and equipment unattended while out on track? Would like to bring all the necessities, but would also like to bring them home afterwards if I head out alone. Thanks!
Your car looks awesome! I like how it all matches with the Red/Black color scheme. It's a shame that Ford didn't just keep the same Brembos from the 350. Did you have to do anything special to get it to work? I looked up the Ford Performance PN M-2300-AA, this is the one right? There's a note...
@Charlemagne what ppf did you go with? Yup, mine is somewhat visible still depending on the lighting. But it is significantly harder to see. I have grown to like the subtle look, there's enough "mach 1" signs everywhere else anyway.
@Jimmy Dean , I went to fill up my first tank of gas and there were 2 on motorcycles doing the same. One came up to me and said, "you need to slow down!" He was just joking, but it does attract more attention than usual.
@Nardly , I was thinking of getting orange at the time since it was...
@murick, sorry for the delay. The film I installed over my hood is XPEL Ultimate Plus. My detailer also polished out the blemishes you highlighted, it arrived that way from the dealer. After about 2 weeks hoping the porosity would go away... it did not. Both the tech and I agreed that it had to...
Definitely tempted, but I'd be more happier if the bubbles went away. Gonna give it a little more time since it's been only a few days. I was at the local dealership and ran my hand across the stripes on a FJ grey and the surface is definitely smoother. The stripe on my car has a bit more rough...
