My money's on the battery too.

I definitely had that same blue fuzz on the negative terminal, and the connector was definitely not salvageable. I bodged something else together, but getting an OEM terminal back on the negative side is on my to-do list.

I just did exactly the same thing. Had the battery out for several hours and lost the MyMode, nothing else that I'm aware of.

Check your town's local website - I just did and was surprised to learn my town will pick it up curbside as long as it's in plastic jugs smaller than 5 gallons. They'll even take the filter if it's in 3 layers of Ziploc bags.

I still have to look twice at Fusions thinking they're Mustangs. The front is deceptively similar.

I use the above and a Ronin drain plug; first time was a little messy, but I've got it figured out now. As all have said before, spin out the old plug slowly and control the flow. After you install the Ronin, you attach a hose to it and Bob's your uncle.

I have the exact same problem (digital gauge, not that it matters - the part/rattle is the same). How do you snap it out without breaking it? I have been dreaming of applying felt tape under it. Anything to absorb the buzzy rattle.
