...those 18s drive me nuts. I like that wheel design the best of all that Ford has, but the car really needs 19s or 20s to fill those wheel wells. I'm probably going to go with 20s because of that...I wonder how long it'll take for americanmuscle.com to offer knockoffs in bigger sizes?
Great...
TampaBear is spot-on with this one...sorry guys. This design is 100% 2010-2012 Mustang/Saleen and not the damned Camaro. If anything, my first thoughts were along the lines of "wow...they really must feel that a ton of people don't like the 'Fusion Coupe' front end and want something else. Bold...
Love the renderings...the final product lacks aggression and punch, which the sketches have. I really think that the SVT vehicle and first major refresh are going to look incredible by comparison. Same goes with the alternate interior, which seems like a no-brainer and everybody's preference...
I wish this would be clarified already....my guess is that you don't get the door and panel stitching without 68b...probably just a solid black door insert.
As for the side...I want to see somebody work with those deep lines. They have a strong 3 dimensional quality and aren't straight like on an S197...none of this car's lines are straight and they all cut or curve deeply and dramatically with more of a "ledge" or "blade " effect. Here's my...
This render has the right idea by using a smaller outer stripe to.hug the curved lines and fill in any gaps left by the inner straight stripe:
Steeda noticed the same thing for their render:
Here's what I'm referring to...the lines on this car curve sharply, straight stripes kind of clash with it. It needs something different and more suited for it's design elements, such as the curving power dome, double bubble roof, and those two deep side scoop lines:
I think people are missing the point of stripes on this car. You need a more modern approach instead of old school designs. I'm thinking spears over the power dome hood bulges and maybe something that hugs the two side scoops. This car needs unique stripes that really take advantage of its new look.
I'll put it this way...I'm looking at either 18s or 20s, neither of which I'm going to keep at Ford's stock size upon replacement. 265/35/20 is an odd tire size...and 235/50/18 isn't wide enough. A set of four tires from TireRack at 265/35/20 is well over $1K+, where as a set of 275/35/20s is...
I'll put it this way...it is a major loss for Ford to make promises and release statements through their reps about weight loss goals, only to gain a significant amount in the end. Hopefully Steers is comparing V6 to GT500 here, because it's a major dissapointment if Ford has indeed dropped the...
I saw one st the Pittsburgh Auto Show...think it was the Barrett Jackson car, but it looked fine under the show room lights. The black accents do make the car look sleeker...same effect as comparing a 2012 with a 2013. My suggestion would be to find a 2010-2012 Kona Blue on a used lot for...
...the biggest thing that goes missing from pics/videos is the cohesion of all the styling elements and design cues. The current car looks like what it is...a vehicle that has been refreshed and modified at the front and rear from its original design. It still looks good, but the front and rear...
...take closer look from an upward angle, the pony coral is in that grill. It's just very staticy/noisy and hard to see. The basic outline and extending bars can be seen if you really concentrate.
The Pittsburgh show had a 2014 Pony Package car next to it, but not actually lined up for a direct comparison. Trust me when I say that the 2015 makes the current car look tall/chunky. The slimmer side skirts and coke bottle shape at the shoulders/hips make such a huge difference. Even worse yet...
Saw it at the Pittsburgh show...this thing is a winner. You really need to see it in person to see what Ford did with this thing. It's not going to blow anybody away like an F-Type coupe for example, but it's way more put together than the current car and makes all the other muscle cars seem...
