  1. RUBY RED S550 MUSTANG Thread

For saddle and ceramic they are going with a DIY look of someone matching door panels/seats from different interiors. Look like a forum DIY warrior right off the lot!
  2. I Ran Into (and SAT in) a 2015 Guard EcoBoost Fastback today

Any chance you saw the telescoping controls for the wheel? Is it forward, backward, up/down and tilt? I'm scared they will skimp on directions like on the Fusion.
  3. 19 vs 20 Wheels

gunman - yes, still noticeable. 20" will be slower and worse ride quality
  4. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

lol, the GVWR topic is back! I guess rehash is expected on pg 61. Only thing I can pull from it is it makes it slightly less likely there is a weight loss, but gives no actual insight.
  5. Driving modes

I still wonder if there will be any time difference between an identical car w/ the best selectable driving mode vs. base car
  6. 2015 EcoBoost Mustang - VIDEOS

How is it possible it sounds that good compared to other 4pot turbo cars out there?!? Very impressed. If finances change and I have to consider an EB I don't think I'll be sad unless the throttle is laggy. Wow, that sound, NICE job Ford! :eyebulge: :headbang: :ford:
  7. GT Premium Initial Interior Impressions

I thought the toggles would be like switches too, that is disappointing. Driving fast tactile feedback is always appreciated over having to watch a screen!
  8. S550 v S197

Gotcha Joe. The haters are probably a lot of S197 owners sad they can't afford a new car, or users of other brands that like to pile on. I'm sure there are a few people who genuinely don't like the fusion or s550 as well, but I feel like they aren't quite as vocal.
  9. Euro-Spec 2015 Mustang Spotted (Again)

Indigo, I don't understand the opposition to them either. Being nostalgic about red is odd to me, mfg were forced to be red for a long time (or at least that's what it looked like to me on the streets) so red headlights seem like something more forced upon us rather than a feature like being...
  10. Update on Build and Price

Damn I kept mine open for like 10 days thinking I might do the same but eventually gave up! nice job :) A lot of that still looks kludged together (like the cashmere door inserts), but it does make it much more likely the machined turn dash finish is a PP item.
  11. S550 v S197

It does share some design elements with the Fusion. I don't understand why that is so offensive to a lot of Mustang guys. Cool thread OP, I like the way you did your car in the front, it looks nice. I just don't think the outgoing car looks in in the same league from the side and rear. Nice...
  12. Sign the petition: Ford PLEASE show us the weight/power numbers.

I disagree, there would be a little discussion on MPG and very little on safety. Power and weight are what people care about on a performance car, I don't think the masses are being silly here.
  13. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

It's in the presentation of the information. This deceptive info was in the way they described it (no words of estimate, but rather that they were letting us in on a little known secret) as well as showing photos making it look like they had cars in house. They posted it on a Saturday knowing...
  14. Where's the base model?

Agreed. I run a small music store and worked for an audio plugin processing company for years. Sirius isn't very good!
  15. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Very dirty of Steeda to not make it clear they were estimating. I will not buy any Steeda products.
  16. Base rear diffuser removable?

This is why I would only consider a base car in black
  17. WardsAuto: Ecoboost Ride Along

The article made up speculation about the CLA45 AMG as a target by Ford, as far as I can tell.
  18. Projected 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang Specs

umm isn't that FWD? Bad enough torque steer in a 180hp fusion what are you doing to mitigate that? omg but have fun :) On topic, I think the V6 is still a great option if you prefer instant throttle response. I would have to drive the new EB in the Mustang first to judge, but I can see people...
  19. EcoBoost sales vs GT

Maybe you misunderstood me or I wasn't clear? It sounds like we agree :headbang: Yikes. Sometimes I wish I had the 2.3 instead of the 1.6L but I cannot imagine getting 20mpg in a Fusion oh my god. That's close to my V8 BMW which gets 18-20 pretty reliably with lead foot! And the Turbo lag...
