yeah they are a custom manifold, being a right hand drive car, nothing made for the US etc Mustangs will fit. was a long process, was started in Feb, was mainly done in what free time was available, has been driving around the last 2 months or so, till went in for the 'Glide, was a long wait for...
i like the Forced Inductions stuff as much as the Precision. thing i like about Precision is they do spool up a little faster. in saying that we did have a FI BW S480 on a 2JZ (3L) running 8.0@174 we saw 36psi @ 5500rpm.
i don't think you can go wrong either way, only advice can give, if you do...
the Gen2 stuff spools up a little quicker/makes a tiny bit more power, in saying that, it's not a huge difference.
the 7685 vs 7675 is not much of a lag difference, especially fom an 11:1CR DOHC V8, i would be looking at the bigger option especially if you decide on pushing the turbo at a later...
thought would throw this up, this is a mate's S550 being in Australia we are right hand drive so nothing in the US fits, he has done all the turbo setup etc himself, tuned it (540rwhp/6psi on our 98-octane is equivalent to US 91octane, MT82), not bad for a 23yo kid. the MT82 was dropped in...
at the level he is going for, you won't see much over a 1-1.2:1 back pressure. starting pushing the turbo then yes, i would look into going a bigger T4 1.25 housing or jumping to a 7685
good on you for doing it yourself. a Precision 7675 Gen2 (.96 A/R) would be fine with the 5.0 would boost up quite nicely and back pressure won't be considerably high as you aren't stressing the turbo too much. i'd look into Forced Inductions range of turbo's as well, they do some really nice...
we have 1500hp Ford shafts going in. Will be stock motor just for now, see how far we can push it. Then we will up the ante, the turbo's seem to be the only ones that can survive with that power. They are much less stressful on an engine
After :p it's a different animal on 9-10psi, boost hitting hard ;)
Hopefully he will have time to finish it this week. I'm impressed how well he has caught on to the Mustang tuning, he is only 23yo has had no help from other sources like others :p
We spent a bit of time on the 6psi base kit tune, cleaning it up a little, went from 391rwkw to 396rwkw not much up top but about a 10-20rwkw and up to 40rwnm through the mid range.
All up we have seen just under a 170rwkw pick up and torque output is up as much as 75%.
We have started on...

public holidays mean one thing, free time :p the young fella at Northmead Auto Centre got a few few hours tuning Monday and Tuesday on the TT Mustang, i videoed a couple WOT runs of the twin turbo Mustang on the dyno, this is the low mount kit, different to...
