  1. Help.... Body work

So she's home! Mr Pigeon cost me about £700 (labour, new stripes and upper and lower grills. I wasn't going with the GT Grilles in the first place, I was happy with EBM grill. However the body shop phoned me last week and told me the grill was on back order with Ford (no surprise there.)...
  2. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

Yep, I've got roads round by me that I won't even drive anymore. Nothing makes more worried than the sat Nav telling me the next turn is onto "unnamed road". There are are places that I refuse to take the car. It was on a road slightly wider than that when the entire drivers side of my car...
  3. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

My brain was an autopilot too, I'd done about 200 by then with about 170 still to go. If someone can't to 70 on a motorway then they should get the fuck off it. After all motorways are just about the only roads in the UK wide enough for one. .
  4. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

Driving it properly then :like: What's the worst?
  5. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

Personally, I equate low MPG with fun. According to my tracking app the worst I ever got was 18.1 in my EBM. That was fun weekend :like: Although, looking that up as just reminded me that I've spent over £3,570 in fuel in the last year. F**k! I didn't buy it considering fuel economy, but...
  6. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

I knew my EBM was the right choice, giving me 38mpg on the motorway and at one point 500+ in range. My reasons for going for the EBM was about power you can use, while I love hearing and seeing really powerful cars what I can use when I'm stuck behind a caravan is limited. Added to which I...
  7. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

In the last couple of months I've had to take couple long drives north, on both occasions I've passed GTs on the motorway that are being driven well under the limit. I don't see many about. On Sunday I passed a red GT (with black stripes) it had just joined the M6 after a junction. It pulled...
  8. Help.... Body work

Thanks Hinch. The grills aren't a problem. Either through Ford or Nemesis i've chatted with @Guy@NemesisUK today. The problem with the bumpers is that they are going to require collection from somewhere which will require a van etc - them will most likely have to resprayed etc so once that...
  9. Help.... Body work

I spent my Saturday morning trying to price up a new bumper but i couldn't find one. I think i found one preowned one, but i couldn't find a stock one.
  10. Help.... Body work

If you checkout the pics i posted in Post #10 - Repairing that is costing around £800 (the someone else has to put my stripes back on (Just the bumper ones) I hate caring about the car i drive.
  11. Help.... Body work

@Kristian87 @Adam83 @hinch So i've had my first estimate back ........ an eye watering ..... £1,119.31 (EBM Grill) £1,220.32 (GT Grill top & bottom)
  12. Help.... Body work

@Kristian87 I think they have upper in stock but not lower. In the big scheme of things the price diff isnt that much from Nemesis Vs Ford. If @Guy@NemesisUK has them in stock I can nip round and pick them up, they are about 10 miles from me.
  13. Help.... Body work

Cool, might get the body shop to order them instead and fix some stone chips as well while she's in. Thanks
  14. Help.... Body work

Thanks @Adam83 I was hoping you'd comment, if anyone would know, you'd know Do the GT grills fit the EBM?
  15. Help.... Body work

No worries Bob, I'm cool to be honest. I've just had the court papers arrive for the accident I had last year (I was wiped out by a van). So I know the kind of think that causes real grief. She'll fix, it's just a ball ache.
  16. Help.... Body work

I've had a look under the bumper and it's seems it's been pushed back by the force of Mrs Pigeon exploding on impact with the grill (yes @W111BOB my thoughts are with the endangered species of winged rat )
  17. Help.... Body work

Thanks guys. The guy at the body shop said you can't do anything with "white plastic". But presumably if you had your done @Kristian87 then mine can be done too. If the paint needs to be blended then the stripe can be removed (he told me that can do stripes). The body shop I went too this...
  18. Help.... Body work

I've hit a few lower down and had to rinse them out of the splitter. The grill isn't so much of the issue, I was thinking of having and RTR grill anyway at some point, it's the crack. My wife has something similar and required a whole new bumper which cost £600 quid replace.
  19. Help.... Body work

Thanks @hinch I've just been to my local body shop to get an estimate. Won't hear about that till Tuesday. I really don't want to go through full repair so fingers crossed it can be repaired. Fucking pigeons!
  20. Help.... Body work

Hi guys, I'm looking for some help. I slammed into a pigeon this morning doing about 70. It damaged my grill (not so bad) but the worst (and i suspect most expensive) is the front bumper which its cracked (see photos). So a couple of questions ... 1. is the bumper repairable or will it have...
