Changed out the transmission and diff oil for the BG kit, installed denso iridium plugs from Adam, installed a K&N panel filter (cause... why not?), got my DWS 06s installed, and changed the oil on my girl's truck (well, I guess this last one isn't on my S550... :P).
I would love it if Cobb would support the 5.0, but they seem pretty intent on focusing on turbo model cars. :( Maybe if everyone started asking them about it and showed enough interest...
Agreed, but at the moment, I have one set of wheels and we're getting near the end of summer. Can't really fork out the cash for 2 sets right now. Next year, I plan on getting a set of track wheels, and I'll keep these for DD. But assuming I stay around 7-8/10ths, I should still be able to go...
I just went the all season route on my GT with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06. I'm running a square setup, though - 275/35-20. With the PP wheels, stock is 255/40-19 and 275/40-19. Some people square up the PP, but you still can't rotate them w/out wheel spacers. Another good option would...
As for clearance, I have hit mine on particularly steep speed bumps or driveways that slope on both sides (street side and parking lot side), and I'm only lowered on the BMR SP080s, so it can happen, but it's not common. That aside, I've had it on four jack stands without issue - very stable.
Bah. Back to tire shopping then. 285/35/20 in the BFG Comp 2 A/S was a ridiculously good price. :( My 275s fit on there with plenty of clearance, so I was hoping...
