I have to agree....that makes perfect sense. All I know is that I had GIRO 2 piece in the past, and worked nicely. no trouble after 2 years on the track on a 2004 Porsche GT3.

Thanks for your input, POWERSTOP prices are so right, 1/2 of what Steeda and GIRO want to charge me...and for $453.00, they include track pads and stainless steel shims for heat dissipation. I use titanium shims, supposedly the best material.
