Your scenario is exactly the same as me! My engine sounds like pinging when I get on the gas in 2nd and 3rd. I run premium. Last service the techs said they couldn't hear anything either. It's getting more common now. Might try what you suggested above.
Personally, I have never seen a good DIY job for tinting. I usually cringe when I see peoples home made jobs. IMHO you should get it professionally done.
Having a Steeda H Pipe installed as I type this. Can't wait to hear it!
Then installing accelerator pedal raised spacers so I can start learning to manually heal-toe. While auto rev matching is cool, I want to learn to do this myself :)
Beauty thank you. Yes, I knew the dust was brake dust, and had heard that it was quite tricky to clean off. Will start stocking up on some of the products mentioned.
Thanks again.
Was just watching a Jay Leno video on the 2021 Mustang Mach 1, and the Ford guy was saying that part of the unique sound track was due to the perforated 4.5" exhaust tips on the Mach 1.
Has anyone ever put these on a GT, and did you notice any difference in the sound?
Cheers
Hi all, I have a 2019 GT and the previous owner scraped the black wheels so there is shiny bare metal showing. Two questions:
1. What is the easiest way to cover this up? Can I file it and paint it ? I don't want to take it into a shop and have it professionally done.
2. How do you guys clean...
If I leave the nut in place, will I be able to plug the hole by hand? I have fairly small hands but I have heard that in our RHD cars it is more difficult than LHD cars. Raising the car isn't an option unfortunately.
Congrats on the purchase. Looks great! I bought mine sight unseen as well, from an auction just as covid was hitting with full force in 2020. Wasn't allowed to view it so I bid online based on the auctioneers report. Glad I did :) The icing on the cake is that it is now worth 50% more than what...
You do know what GT stands for right? Mustangs are not the fastest sports cars by any stretch of the imagination. They're not designed to be.
Funny how different people have different tastes. You would have to pay me to to drive a Camaro as to me, they are fugly in the extreme. Not having a go...
Anyone taken theirs out and how was the process?
I've been reading on the US forums and they say it is quite tight to do, then I saw an Aussie comment that it is a LOT harder on our RHD cars?
Wondering what peoples experiences have been like and what you used to plug up the air hole?
Did you...
Had a look at their website, and it looks like a one man band which hardly offers anything. A transmission tune for "6 speed automatic" or "10 speed automatic" is the only thing available for Mustang. I wouldn't go near this place personally. Looks like a fly-by-nighter type operation. That's my...
I have a 2019 GT manual (PP1) and looking to put a drop in K&N filter and resonator delete with H pipe.
In and of itself, these wouldn't necessitate a tune, but I was wondering if there would be any likely performance improvements if I got a tune?
The car seems to be running sweet at present...

I have a 2019 GT and am getting a resonator delete H pipe to lower the tone.
I am also considering installing an open air filter just for the increased / changed sound, however I would like to know what the new sound would likely be like.
I have heard that you get more engine music coming into...
