There are plugs you can get to fill the holes. But, it looks like with the 2019 piece you may not have to worry about that at all.

Got her back from the paint shop yesterday. She looks like new again. Spent some more time pulling off weight and ripped out the trunk trim. She'll go in for paint correction and PPF Saturday.

Plenty of examples and discussion online of diffuctly getting the factory shift knob off. Chalk your luck up to you not having an overzealous assembly worker. As for me and mine, didn't even want to come off with vise grips as you can tell by the photo.
Finished the Alcantara accents and shift knob. I am considering wrapping the console arm rest now as well.
At what cost though... At what cost... factory shift knob did not make the switch.

Fault here is assuming there isn't a legitimate reason for them to know how to circumvent mykey in the first place. I'm sure we can come up with some use cases.
