Try a couples brand before finding the one that worth the money for me! Some are useless.
For the gain I got at the track it's certainly worth it for me. Way cheaper than my skinnies!!
Would not have run that 10.9's without it so ....:)
Not all CAI are equal!
A open CAI in trafic in hot weather is really more a "hot air intake"
However I have seen substantial gain on the dyno and at the track with colder engine temp after a cold down! I Will not mention the brand I don't want to start a argument lol.
Guy's as per the rules this thread is for posting timeslip not for discussions . Can you please reserve your comment to other threads or communicate by PM please. Thanks!
All my tunings are done on the road/track when possible same thing for my motorcycle however that exclude VCT tuning that is exclusively done on my friend Mustang dyno. I personnaly don't even loose my time without a dyno. Then they are tested on the track!!
With timing event/compression...
I heard the noise on one of is other vid.
Just want to note thats it's not the same type of noise that the OP got and we are discussing here!
Never less not a lucky guy!!
You have the same piston rattle noise on the new longblock Ford just replace under warranty in you car!!!??
How much mileage on the new engine it took before you hear it again ?
All the little tricks make for the difference. In comparable DA same mods but first version of the tune without the seats removed I was running 11.5-11.6 with a lot less mph.
-31 lbs back seats
-50lbs passenger seat
- 13.5 lbs etx18 battery( always on the car)
-5 oem tire inflator (never on...
Steeda are the one who state "COMMING SOON" for the CAI many months ago. They may have some issues only them knows ! Maybe someone here from Steeda can give us a update!!
I think also they still not have put to sale their Big close box maf CAI that they run as a prototype on their 10.s N/A car.
It as been a long while but no news !!!!! Very strange nothing complicated there except maybe if it's coming from overseas with the political situation LOL
Lol I just need to loose the 50+ lbs overweight I have. Easier to say than done. My Mustang friends are all 150-175 lbs driver.
I know you ran some nice time on street tire. You will find with more mods and power you will need the drag radial especially in colder weather with a less sticky...
The magnaflow 12468 look like a interesting idea!! It's built like a 2.5" x pipe inside!!! Would have prefer a 3" but it's still should be good going into to 2.5 " axleback
Sure it will sound good!!
Don't think the 2018 GT have forged piston??. Let's just say my timing is over 26 on my best runs
Stock timing down low is ridiculous that's why the 60ft sucks lol
I know FTW and c85 make good difference even compare to e85 they are much more oxygenated. Steeda and Lund has used it. I am not gonna use those! Too expensive for me. When I am talking about e85 I am talking about standard pump. I may try it but I am pretty sure it will be the same marginal...
The difference his huge on a power adder car with e85
I did the testing on e85.
On my 2015 in 1000 ft and bellow the difference was marginal has long has I was getting the timing I wanted. Not more than .05..
Same day same condition. I have the timeslip somewhere.
.05 to .1 is pretty much...
No I don't!
My friend got a vid at the track on his phone but was not able to send it to me.
I did prefer the sound of my 2015 with the same mods and exhaust but going thru the magnaflow race catback. The 2018 sound a bit more raspy on the street but in full open valve at the track it sound...
Finally 10.'s N/A!!!!!!
It took the 2018 301A A10 to get me there. After having try it hard without success for 3 years on my stock intake m6 2015 GT !!
[email protected] mph and not in the crazy DA we get here in fall!!! +890 on dragtime and +1100 DA on a portable DA weather station at the track...
