So it seems when the car is parked and left unlocked (in my garage for example), after a certain time (which I haven't confirmed), the mirrors fold in, even though it remains unlocked. This is handy, and pretty much negates point #2 above.
Just finished doing this. It all went smoothly, and was easy enough to do. It was just a little fiddly making sure everything was neatly tucked away, so that the trim peices would back ok.
I used this video as a reference:
I'm really glad I did this mod, it works exactly as it should. I...
The AC should come on when you press auto. As you said, this is how pretty much all cars work.
I just double checked my 21 GT, and sure enough, when you press auto, the AC comes on itself too.
I have an Aussie GT, which already has the powered mirrors already installed. This kit is just circuitry to automate the folding when doors are locked. Ford were so stupid to not include this functionality.
Yea, it's pretty cheap. I reckon I'll give it a go. It's utterly stupid they don't auto fold, when they have the functionality for folding with a button.
Has anyone bought the auto mirror fold kit from AliExpress? (used to be this one)
Also, is there any reason it would say 2015-2019? Did anything change after this? I'm keen to get this onto my 2021 GT, but curious why they only list up to 2019.
Or is there another similar kit that does the...
Thanks for the replies, I do appreciate it. I'll await a few more replies (just need as much info/ammo as possible to go back with).
This was done as part of an insurance job as mentioned. The repairer use this mob for their alignments. But once I get any more good info from this thread, I'll...
Thanks for that. I do tend to prefer Penrite, but I guess what they're using in't bad and could have been a lot worse. Probably not a huge amount of difference between them, but my OCD likes to stick to the things I like, like Penrite.
What's the diference between the Penrite 5W-30 and the one...
Thanks, yea, I really dislike having to take my car to Ford (or anywhere really). I prefer to do all my own servicing and repairs, but for warranty sake, I just let Ford do it. I know they've lied to me about things in the past with my last car (dashcam was running and captured them saying...
Hmmm...I have a '21 GT. Bought it around May last year. It was a year old and had just over 1000kms on it. But I do around 40,000km a year, around 1000km a week.
I used to do my G6ET every 5000-7000km. Maybe I should be doing the same with the Mustang.
Do you give Ford (if you use them) your...
Thanks for the replies, appreciate it.
I don't have a printout of the alignment, though I'll ask them if it's still on file and have them email me a copy.
The pull isn't related to the camber of the road, I've made sure that's not the case.
Nothing appares bent, they had a good look up on the...
I had an accident months ago. Car aquaplaned in torrential rain, speared me off into the barrier at 100kmh. Front end was totalled. Over 30k worth of damage, and took 6 months to get it back.
I'm really happy with the job done to be fair, but it's been pulling a little to the right ever since...
Is there a way to disable the annoying seat belt pop up that appears every start of the car? It's bloody annoying having to dismiss it EVERY time I use the car.
I can see reference to "beltminder" in the spreadsheet, but I suspect this is the chimes that play if a belt isn't done up that should be?
