  1. Enlarge strut tower opening for camber plate access?

Are they adjusting them off-car? I'm not sure how you'd get in there to adjust on-car. Since the camber plate sits inside the strut tower so the only access is that small hole. The sellers storefront description indicates that it's an off-car adjustment. That's not going to work for me since...
  2. Enlarge strut tower opening for camber plate access?

Yea thats why I have that caliper out. I measured the max positions of the set screws to see how wide to make the opening. Looks like 2.5" hole saw is what it's going to take. Yep. Pedders for their coilover kit. The camber plates came with zero instructions. The coil overs like many...
  3. Enlarge strut tower opening for camber plate access?

That's what I'm doing it for too. Yea it does look like some hard metal. I figured that was going to be a tough cut. Hopefully it's not too crazy :-/.
  4. Enlarge strut tower opening for camber plate access?

Has anyone enlarged the opening at the top of the strut tower to access camber plate adjustment on these cars yet? I'm about to throw in some camber plates and they really won't be accessible otherwise without dropping the whole assembly. It doesn't seem like I'd lose anything structural to just...
  5. â–ş APEX | 18” & 19” EC-7 Mustang Wheel Group Buy - Up to $250 OFF + Free Shipping

Any issues running 295/40R18 on the 18x11s? I'm trying to decide between the 305/35R18, 295/35R18 and 295/40R18. There are some Azenis in 295/40R18 which would be a pretty close to OEM fit circumference wise.

  7. Fore return fuel system install

Yep! Totally forgot the remote wire. That one is a small (big numerically) one too if im not mistaken. Not near garage atm. Had to get a larger crimper and ferrules, the fuse block should be crimped too.
  8. Fore return fuel system install

So maybe my kit was different, but mine came with 6 gauge wire for the battery/ground. They set it up as two pieces, one as a short pigtail that came pre-installed with ferrules already hooked up to the controller. The second piece connects to the battery via crimped on terminal rings and...
  9. Fore return fuel system install

I was thinking about grabbing one of these: https://www.amazon.com/GOCHANGE-Terminal-Connection-Stripper-Connectors/dp/B01K160CC8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518538041&sr=8-4&keywords=ferrules#customerReviews

Thanks! Definitely going to get camber plates as part of the coil over install. For the spacers it sounds like you recommend slip-on hubcentric spacers with the extended wheel studs over the bolt-on hubcentric that have a second set of studs. Is that because of wheel compatibility? You...

Thanks Ryan! The only real question I had was what you recommended spacer wise on the GT PP front fitment. I'm mostly concerned with strut clearance since I think fender will be fine at 11". I'm considering going with BC coilovers for now and wondered if you knew how the fitment was. I'm...
  13. How do you know “How much is too much?”

Some people are definitely doing that, often not consciously. Keep in mind we are all kinda beta testers. New car generations are coming out fast and new engines/engine generations only a little slower. There's not a huge R&D cycle to mature and figure out what works if it's a current...

I pledged for some 18x11 squared. Ready to get some bigger meats on my build :).
  15. Is sodium the cause of LSPI and ecoboom?

PM'ed. Yea it's curious. So far I found lots of the store brands have sodium and some Valvoline products too. Also I now suspect Valvoline makes the store brands. I know they made NAPA's oil at one point for sure. If I had to guess they used some bulk or store brand oil in the first test...
  16. Is sodium the cause of LSPI and ecoboom?

Sodium is the rarest of the detergents. I'm into oil analysis and frequent a board where we post lab results of oils including "virgin" reports on unused oil. Not sure on the rules for linking, I can PM you if you're curious and want to read more. I'm actually having a hard time even finding a...
  17. Is sodium the cause of LSPI and ecoboom?

AFAIK most average to high end oils don't have any significant sodium content. They must have used some really crappy oils in their tests. Magnesium and calcium are used a lot, but not sodium. Just use a decent synthetic if sodium is a worry.
  18. Wheels Of Fortune: Signature Wheels Official Wheels Thread

These wheels all look awesome, seriously excellent designs. I especially love the SV701, real nice! I would totally get some, but the price point is hard to swallow. I'm sure the quality is awesome, but I've been shopping for a square track setup and honestly for the price I'd have a hard time...
  19. What weight oil on forced induction 5.0's

Oh also I forgot to mention that shearing is further accelerated by forced induction because of extra pressure from the power. The moment that shearing happens is when oil is under pressure like on the down stroke of a piston it's squeezed out of the bearing with a huge amount of force. If you...
  20. What weight oil on forced induction 5.0's

I only had one track day with it before and it was in the winter so I wasn't paying attention to be honest. I think I did about 2x 45 min runs with 45 min cool downs while bikes were on the track. I doubt it was over 230F and on the street I only puttered around back then. Car only has ~5,800...
