Yep, they are more than capable of making perfectly good quality. It's just most people never pay them for it. I've actually had problems dealing with Chinese manufacturing because of that. They are used to making things as cheap as possible for the most razor thin margin. So if you're having...
Yea I don't remember the last time I was excited about the latest smart phone made in the USA. Before anyone says Apple, it's made by Hon Hai Precision Industry Co better known as Foxconn.
Granted our factories generally don't have safety nets to prevent employee suicides. So we have that...
Wouldn't hurt to be on a dyno. What exactly are you expecting power wise though? I think for most people 10PSI @ 17 degrees the car feels pretty damn fast, especially with the stability help and all that stuff off. If you're coming off of something making 800whp maybe it won't feel as fast...
It wasn't like that new :-/. I'm very particular about how I wash and take care of paint so I notice things like this. No other car I've owned in recent years has this problem. Hell my '99 Camaro didn't have this issue and it had a mix of substrates.
Factory paint doesn't just go on the raw...
It's not a huge deal on my car, because it's a track toy and will get wrapped. Wouldn't be worth bitching about it to the dealership body shop. However all my plastic body panels are yellowing. Keep in mind this is a 2016 car with 5,900 miles that spends most of it's life in an air conditioned...
Probably why it's orange (the Torco). My everything is orange from the MMT in race gas hahaha. Was just soaking plugs other day while gapping. Pistons don't really look too orange, just a few hints in the varnish.
Yea they may not have to, in a perfect world they wont. Depends on how anal you are too. Plus sometimes you have to if for example a hanger bent on removing the factory exhaust on stands, especially if doing it alone it's not too hard to accidentally bend it a little with the leverage of the...
White wheels look amazing, but PP brakes will dust like crazy and like others said cleaning will be a nightmare. Coat it good with something synthetic and heat tolerant after each deep cleaning to keep em cleaner.
No prob! Good luck and I'm sure those guys can help you out. It's literally a sub 5 minute job on a lift. They'll loosen the x-pipe and adjust, maybe bend a hanger if needed, easy peasy.
Like BmacIL said this is normal adjustment for almost any full cat-back system. I don't remember ever installing one that was 100% perfect without adjustment, even if it happened it would just be luck. Hangers get bent, some pipes aren't inserted deep enough or too deep, etc...
You're going to...
Like behind the front wheels or in front of them? Either way not sure how you're making that turn, especially if you want LTs at some point. Exhausts work best straight through.
If you just want side exhausts in front of the rear wheels would probably work.
Hey Guys, saw a really good write up on this board about wiring up an aftermarket gauge cluster to switched power. I can't find it though, been looking for a few hours and can't remember the key word I used.
Does anyone either know a good thread on it or can recommend a good switched power...
Not PCTech, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a way to infer temps in an accurate-ish way that don't involve either the header or the rear lambda sensors. That is the most direct relationship to correlate and infer an EGT, since the fuel mixture has a very profound predictable effect on...
Isn't that inferred though (probably from lambda sensor output)? My car doesn't have a legit exhaust gas temp sensor. I do agree that exhaust gas temps are a good metric, you can correlate it well to fueling (similar to using a wideband) since lean makes the exhaust hot and rich cold, there is a...
Good call, thanks Sam! I had Fore air mail me some FlexLP hose. Installed it when I got home from work the other night. Once all the Startlite hose was tossed out I could tell how fast the smell was disappearing. There was absolutely no smell by the morning. Just smelled like the clean anally...
It's prolly too hard to get people to actually come in on time, especially if people are driving/shipping cars in. But yea if you're local they should be able to just tell you a day, maybe they have some other reasons :-/.
