Well I drove around a bit this morning to see if drilling holes in the front grill as gibbo did made any difference and it did! My IAT temps were cooler by a few degrees. Same temp outside as when I monitored them last.
So for those looking to allow a little more that might be the easiest...
Did you use the Dremel while the grill was still on the car?
I might start there and see if my temps go down with that mod alone. Then add 350 snorkel.
I've owned serveral new 5.0's and have always avoided the manifold mod. It seems to me that all the power is in the last few hundred RPM which most of us will not feel or use.
well it must have been inspection day at the Dearborn factory the day my car was built...lol...all of my plugs were at .48 spot on...didn't check the back one by the battery but 7 out of 8 were perfect...i'm assuming the back one by the battery is as well.
thanks for the heads up OP...easy...
OK gang...getting ready to hit the dyno and the track right this week. Curious what my car should be making and running with my current setup...i'm sure some of you have my exact setup, so I wanna make sure my numbers and times seems healthy...I will post my dyno and slip here later in the week...
I'm gonna say one thing, I am checking mine today! Thanks OP.
I'm an e85 guy...the consensus seems to be gap to .48 is this correct?
What is the best gapping tool I can get? I've always had trouble gapping plugs. Is there a certain gap tool that makes it foolproof?
Hey gang I just loaded my Lund e85 flex tune. Runs incredible but I did notice my afr on my dash is reading very low 10s and even high 9s. Is this normal for e85?
Yeah. Mine is the flex fuel tune. I just loaded the tune and have to burn about 50 miles until empty before I get my first taste of e85.
I'm safe because of the flex tune correct?
