  1. Dead battery - get into trunk?

Do you have the Enhanced security alarm? Those interior motion sensors eat up a lot of power. If I'm going to not drive the car for a while I set the alarm to perimeter sensors only.
  2. Summer vs all season tires

Then how come a quick google search brings up tons of photos of cracked tires?
  3. 2018 stang order banks opening soon, who is definitely gonna order?

  4. Color Decision...

    Lightning blue with black roof!
  5. digital speedo and gear number

The whole point of a HUD is that it appears to your eyes as if the information is floating out there in the real world so you can pay attention to both very easily. Your eyes don't have to re-focus distance, to near, back to distance. It's all seen at a distance.
  6. NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

I have Nav. So there isn't any warning on the Nav link to not use it, but everything in the post says it's specifically for 2016 cars, that's why I asked it anyone had done it on a 2017 yet?
  7. NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

I have a 2017 that already has AA and CP enabled. However I am having a lot of problems with bluetooth dropping. Someone mentioned in the thread about bluetooth issues that they stopped having issues when they updated to 2.2. Anyone know if anyone has tried the 2.2 update on a 2017? Any idea...
  8. Sync 3 Bluetooth Problems

I have a 2017 that already has Android Auto and Carplay. It says it is Version 2.0. I wonder if anyone has tried to apply the 2.2 update to a 2017?
  9. Sync 3 Bluetooth Problems

I was just out of town for the weekend and had a Buick Verano as my rental (my other options were a Camry or a Soul, talk about a no-win situation). Anyway, I had my phone connected via bluetooth for music, text messages and audio of navigation directions. The phone connected every time and...
  10. Sync 3 Navigation

There is a setting called something like "always use preferred route". Turn that off and when the system calculates routes it will offer, fastest (which means highest speed limits not shortest time), Eco or Shortest. The shortest is literally the absolute least number of miles it could find...
  11. Sync 3 Bluetooth Problems

I've had numerous problems with my bluetooth connection in my car. I was thinking it was something with the phone, but now that I see so many others with different phones having the same problem I'm not so sure. The first issue that happened was the phone would be connected fine and then...
  12. Tinted or auto dimming side view mirrors?

You don't need a point of reference when you have them adjusted properly. If you see a car in the mirror, you can't move over, if you see no car in the mirror and no car out the window, you can move over. You don't need to know exactly where the car is in relation to your car, all you need to...
  13. Has anyone installed a keypad?

I think he means an aftermarket keypad with pushbutton start. And according to the Ford Parts website, those aftermarket keypads don't work with the keyless entry and start type fobs. Could Ford make one that worked? I'm sure they could, but it appears they have chosen not to.
  14. The rubber strip under the belly pan - why?

Where did you hear this? The video from Ford in Post #11 only mentions cooling in the PP V8 which doesn't even have the piece we are discussing in this thread. And in that case it is brake cooling.
  15. Insurance premiums???

Just got my renewal. $403 for 6 months with All State. Homeowner, married, multi-car, multi-policy. No tickets no accidents. That's for 250/500/100, and $600 deductible (which is really $100 because I have vanishing deductible) and full cost new car replacement.
  16. Is she a keeper?

How do you answer and either or question with yes or no??!?!? I plan to keep it, but I have no idea how to answer the poll.
  17. Premium, 50th Anniversary and PP Packages

The different tuning refers to the suspension, this has nothing to do with the drive modes which effect steering weight and stability control and throttle response. The Performance pack comes with entirely different brakes so I suppose you could say there is braking calibration, but I've never...
  18. Mustang Secrets

For #1 they are talking only about what to do if the battery dies in the fob. Take the battery out of your key fob and see what happens if you just keep it in your pocket. Car won't start. But even with a dead battery, if you place the key in the slot below the cup holder the car will start.
  19. Safety features standard?

He's asking about the 2018 Mustang which isn't on Ford's site yet.
