  1. The GT/Ecoboost/V6 Rivalry!

This is mostly a GT site but there is still good info in the 2.3 sub forum. There are other message boards for strictly Ecoboost talk. This is my daily and I enjoy the nice combination smiles and practicality. No, this engine doesn't have the rawness and sheer power of the 455 I had in my 74...
  2. Mustang interiors are no good

I'm a large guy so I like the interior just fine. I think the 6th gen Camaro would provide the more cocoon like environment for the sophisticated skinny jeans wearer.
  3. Mustang interiors are no good

What kind of response are you looking for on a Mustang enthusiast forum?
  4. New owner of 2015 Mustang Ecoboost - Some general questions regarding maintenance

I've had the dealer put Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in my 15 the last couple of times and I haven't really noticed much difference. I wanted to go with a full synthetic since the engine is tuned, for peace of mind at least. I also went with NGK 6510 plugs since I'm tuned but I'd probably stay with...
  5. Do you guys say hi to other S550 mustang owners on the road?

If your knife isn't KaBar or M9 then it isn't a "real" fighting knife and then you obviously don't care about performance and don't know what makes the grass grow. :sunglasses:
  6. Ecoboost mustang vs competition

I really like my 15 Ecoboost, especially after getting tuned. There's a lot to like about them but they will never sound like a V8 and if the sound and feel of V8 is an important part of the experience and the fun, then you won't be entirely happy with it. There is way more tuning choices for...
  7. Perceptions of Middle-age Men in Mustangs

I'm 48. I had a couple of Firebird Formula's in my younger days, a 74 and then a 98. I had a series of more practical cars and trucks after that and just decided I wanted something fun again as a daily. I've never really considered a Mustang a midlife car because of the wide range of ages that...
  8. Help me decide GT Premium or GT350 (see thread for details).

I would say it would depend on what you value. If you want straight line speed and endless modding options available to the GT, while still being a pretty solid handler, then that would be my choice. If you want more of pure sports car feel, then it's clearly the 350. If I got to listen to that...
  9. What Have You Bought for Black Friday 2018?

I bought a CV Fab downpipe earlier this week and I've decided to get some SVE S350 wheels.
  10. CVF Catless Downpipe for 2015+ EcoBoost Mustang

I ordered mine tonight. With the 15% discount, the price is too good not to give it a try.
  11. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

No way I would want to go back to the stock tune. I haven't seen any drivability issues. It can be a bit touchy and surge a bit in 1st with the transmission in Sport mode but in Drive, it's smooth. I think the tune does wonders for the transmission and there is way more power above 5000 rpm. I...
  12. Spark plug gap for FP tune

I was back and forth on the Garrett and the cp-e. The fact that Garrett makes the turbo and it was a newer product had me leaning that way. I found one at a great price on Amazon and pulled the trigger. It worked great in the summer heat. This car is much different with the tune and IC.
  13. Spark plug gap for FP tune

I had mine put in along with the FP tune and a Garrett IC. The shop checked them. If you are going to put them in yourself, I would get a gap gauge. They're fairly cheap.
  14. Spark plug gap for FP tune

I can't speak for the denso's but I have the FP tune and I have my NGK's gapped at .028.
  15. ProCal Tune Flexability

I can definitely tell a difference in normal driving with my Garrett IC compared to stock in this summer heat.
  16. Bigger turbo, less stress?

Yep, it's not a subtle change.
  17. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

I'm liking this so far. The transmission is so much smoother, especially Sport mode. No more sluggishness over 5000 rpm, it just keeps pulling. This is how it should of been stock.
  18. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

I picked my car up today from Next Level Performance Solutions but haven't had a chance to get many pulls in. My initial impressions are that I can really hear the turbo and blowoff now and the transmission has a much more immediate feel. I'm hoping to get a better feel for what this tune and...
  19. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Today, I dropped my Ecoboost off at Next Level Performance Solutions to finally get the Ford ProCal tune and CAI, Garrett intercooler and NGK sparkplugs that I had bought a few weeks ago, installed. It will be ready to go tomorrow. I'm interested to see how much difference it makes.
