Yes this is it! Driven manuals for the last 35 years and went for the manual option on the Stang and gee, it's a clunktastic bag of bolts with a stick in the middle of it. It's the car's worst feature in my opinion. Did the Steeda clutch spring and Boomba assembly bracket, which have improved...
I reckon you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car until you've spent at least 12 months on a motorcycle. Learn basic rules of the road and observation skills or die. Harsh but fair...
Funny, the wheels were the deciding factor for me buying a Shadow Edition. Ironically I think they're the bog standard wheels from the US options list!
I think it's probably normal. Mine whines a bit like a SC. I didn't notice it until I fitted a Boomba shifter assembly bracket, which does away with all the rubber bushing of the original piece. I had been led to expect a bit more NVH anyway. Doesn't bother me. It sounds as if your car isn't...
Clock's been ticking away for 9 months now. No knob. I did send an email politely asking how it was comning along. Got no response at all.
Doesn't inspire confidence really...
I had a 600 mile round trip from Shropshire down to Devon last Friday to attend a funeral. The things I discovered were...
Devon has some of the narrowest, wiggliest lanes known to man. At one point both my wing mirrors were touching the hedge. Even the thinnest man in the world, Old Thinny...
Mine is awful notchy. I fitted a Boomba transmission mount and that has improved it, but I can still get a missed shift between 4th and 5th every so often. Apparently the MT-82 is the same box fitted to the Ford Transit van (in UK) and I drove one of those the other day and it was great. So go...
Welcome and hope you enjoy the car.
I personally wouldn't bother with a cover. Mine stands out and I think regularl cleaning sessions are a better bet to preserve your paint.
As far as H pipes and insurance goes, you will have to tell your insurer. How they will take it, is not entirely...
Bit late to the party, but I put an MBRP street on mine. Really like it. Sounds snorky enough without being too loud. Barks a bit on a cold start, but there's a bit of space twixt me and the neighbors, so I don't think they're bothered. Never said anything. Maybe I just couldn't hear them...
Well, I can't account for this, but further attempts to get it going have met with success. Where it was utterly unresponsive before, it now responds as you'd expect. Nothing's changed, just press the button and it starts talking, whereas before - silence. Given that it is just a matter of...
Well, this is interesting...
Not much bothered about tech myself, but after driving the car around for a year, I tried pressing the talking face button on the steering wheel. Nothing happened. I put it down to my cave man level of tech ineptitude and I was obviously doing something wrong, but...
Yes that's all very unsettling. At least the little scroats didn't drag a key down it when they found it was locked.
I've found Dobermans don't like burglars very much...
Not really one for new fangled gizmos, but after over a year of ownership, I thought I'd try the voice control thing. So I press the talking face button on the steering wheel and nothing happens....Absolutely nothing. Is this normal? I watched some bloke on the internet and he pressed the button...
When I lived down south, I always used M&S Motorsport in Potter's Bar. Mike Sasson is the bloke there. Really good to deal with. Did all works on my Monaro and my 3000GT. Always 100%. Not too far from you either.
Hi Kristian,
Thought I'd mentioned this before. Anyway, yes, it was the firewall grommet. Took them 6 weeks to find it and sort it, but it hasn't leaked at all ever since. So it was a definitive fix, not like your rolling catastrophe! Is yours sorted now?
Thanks so much. Although I must confess to still be struggling with this. I can't see where it goes at all! Been looking to the right of the throttle pedal. Is that right? Gonna have another look now...
Was hoovering out the car and discovered this bolt/screw lying in the driver's footwell. What is it and where has it come from? Is my engine about to fall out?...
Had a look around but couldn't see where it was from. The interior got stripped out of my car when the dealer was fixing a water...
Got mine from these guys via ebay. Didn't have any problems.
