  1. The "My wifes going to kill me" Black Friday 2019 Edition

I ordered a transmission insert bushing on a Black Friday discount for £24 delivered and I've still not heard the end of it. She'll get over it in a year or two...
  2. Middle class income & new car prices

Wel, I reckon never buy anything you can't pay cash for unless... 1) It's a property you are going to live in. 2) You need the thing for you job. So if you need tools/ a pickup whatever to do your job, that's fine, get a loan, similarly if you need somewhere to live, get a mortgage, but don't...
  3. Alabama Boomba Racing Transmission Mount and Shifter Bracket

Thanks for getting back to me. Those shipping charges do sound pretty fierce (although $20 woudl be fine) I hadn't thought about Black Friday, it's a fairly new thing over here. Maybe hang fire until the end of the month and if you sell it in the meantime, no problem. Thanks agan.
  4. Alabama Boomba Racing Transmission Mount and Shifter Bracket

I'd be interested in the Transmission Mount. Do you mind posting it to the UK?
  5. Educate me: Steeda Tri-Ax shifter - street vs race

This is true. I put a Boomba assembley bracket on mine and swapped out the factory fluid for Motul Multi DCTF and the shift is a LOT better. I also added a weighted shift knob, which also helps a bit, but the fluid and the bracket are the way to go.
  6. Dealership, question everything

That does sound pretty rubbish, but if it's any consolation we have some fantastically hopeless dealerships here in the UK too. When I bought my car, it didn't come with a service book. I asked where it was and the salesmen told me with a straight face that, "Mustangs don't have one. Being a US...
  7. How many people have gotten letters from angry neighbors over their exhaust?

I had this situation with a KTM RC8. Had Quat-D pipes fitted and it was loud! A few 5am starts had the neighbors whinging, so I put the factory pipe back on it. Didn't sound as good, but no more complaints and people got the impression I was being responsible... Obviously that was just an...
  8. Import duty on an exhaust

I think I'd give the black one a miss. In the UK you need SS. It'd be better to get a SS one and then stick some black tips on if that's the look you want. Still work out cheaper than the competition.
  9. Import duty on an exhaust

Well, drone is a subjective thing. I would agree with CJ Pony Parts that there is a hint at most, but it's never bothered me. Is it louder than the Borla? I've no idea, not heard one of those. I think my main guide in choosing the MBRP was the price/performance ratio. Unless you go with the...
  10. Import duty on an exhaust

Bought my MBRP catback on a Black Sunday deal from Tarmac Sportz. Worked out pretty well. Was around £600 I think.
  11. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

In my quest for improved shifting, I got a new shift knob today. It's a Shift Solutions BK in Unicorn Sparkle... yeah I know, that's really what they called it, but looks good I reckon!
  12. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

This is the stuff for anyone interested: https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73990-motul-multi-dctf-dual-clutch-car-gearbox-oil-dry-wet-dct.aspx Conforms to Ford spec WSS-M2C-200-D2, which is what the owners manual says is required. You'll need to order 3 litres of the stuff. Still working very well in...
  13. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

My recent change has been this... Having been unhappy with the notchy, agricultural shift of my MT-82 box, I swapped out the tranny fluid for Motul Multi DCTF and the bottom line is: Instant Improvement. Particularly when cold, but also when warmed up, shifts are a smoother, less clunktastic...
  14. Trying to trace history of a Grabber Blue 18 plate... HELP!

Interesting. When I bought mine, the salesman gave me some BS about them not having a service book as they're a US car and non-EU compliant. I was skeptical and checked - and of course they do have a service book. I wrote a pretty stiffly worded letter of complaint to the dealership and they...
  15. Are there any issues with 2018 GT cars

It seems there can be several points of water ingress. A common one, which my car suffered from, was from a misaligned grommet in the firewall. My local dealer fixed it and the car has been dry ever since.
  16. BE AWARE OF ANARCHY MOTIVE

Now you see that actually looks pretty good. Result! All I want is for him to send the damn thing, but various emails are all ignored. He is getting my emails however, because I tried sending another from a different email address, posing as an intrested potential customer and lo and behold...
  17. Should I be worried - interior windscreen condensation (again!)?

Hmmn, I think you're right to be concerned. Mine's not doing that....
  18. Clunking noise on KOEO and startup

I think it must be all the car's awesomeness trying to get out of start up.... Seriously, I think I'd want a grown up to have a look at that.
  19. Rant time...what's the worst thing about your Mustang?

Agree with this. If the car shifted better, it'd be awesome. Mine seems very notchy. Got some new tranny oil waiting to go in, which I'm hoping will improve it.
  20. BE AWARE OF ANARCHY MOTIVE

No they won't. I asked them. I've also been waiting a year now. Apparently you can't hurry perfection. Or anything...Damn I'd settle for a ball bearing at this stage.
