It's a pretty big job to replace the valve springs as you need to pull the front cover, then valve covers, and the cams will need to come out too. When I did my valve springs I put in ARP head studs as they are easy to install at that time. Besides my heads started to life with 17psi of...
You are absolutely correct. I really didn't plan to be here now but I tend to overbuild things. What kind of custom headers do you recommend? I'd like to go with a better set of headers that are able to max out the turbos that I currently have. I don't intend to ever go past 1500 crank hp...
They do look to be made decent at least. It should flow better than the stock manifolds. If you want to make power you better have at a minimum dual 3" or dump them. Don't waste your time with a stock cat back if you want to power up! :)
For me I'm looking to max out the BW kit with stock...
I wonder how that would work as an upgrade for those with stock modified manifolds such as the BW kit. I tried to buy their headers but they are unresponsive to any communication.
It sure looks like my turbos would bolt right up.
You lucky sob!! Just curious but what kind of issues have you had with their turbos? I don’t have a lot of miles on mine but they spool fast and I can hear them spin for maybe a minute after I turn the car off.
They wouldn't tell me what kind of grease it is when I spoke with Comp. My only option was to buy that expensive grease but it should last forever. Pro tip: Buy from jegs to save on shipping.
On my 2016 I started out with a Whipple and worked up to 17psi of boost. I loved the instant power and smooth drivability.
Then I went to twin turbos and truly enjoy the much improved midrange and top end power while it drives like stock when off boost. I do miss the instant hit of the...
I talked with Lund about my power goals and they said that I could do cams but would recommend porting at the same time. They also said that at my power goals of 1100whp that they weren't necessary. Figure this would also be a 4-5K hit on top of my engine build. I figure if I wanted to upgrade...
Yessir I can be stubborn as well and like to push the limits. It was an offer for an even trade for the Whipple for the brand new BW kit. I couldn’t pass it up.
At close to 1000whp she pulled like mad. It blew off the drag radials even at 80 when the boost hit. Your beast is going to be...
