ABS/TC has started giving me fits. Goes out and comes back intermittently. Now my parking sensors say they don't work anymore. Lastly, my power steering is no longer assisting like it should. All these electrical issues lead me to believe my battery is dying. Does my conclusion sound right?
If you have less initial bite with the 6 pistons after knowing for a fact you bled them right AND broke them in right, then the pad compound must be the culprit, not the calipers themselves. When I swapped calipers, I went from a street compound to a street compound. Initial bite with the 6...
When I bled mine I made sure I lost fluid to the tube and opened the valve slightly so that only small amounts of fluid wanted to leave as well as all the air that could possibly be in the lines. The tube needs to essentially be filled with brake fluid.
Your problem with initial bite is 100% a brake bleeding problem. You need to bleed the brakes from the passenger side rear first, then driver side rear, then passenger front, then passenger front. All 4 bleeds need to be done with a bottle so the valve remains under fluid as the air leaves the...
I already inspected all 4 wheels for play and there is none. When the rings are broken, there's usually play. I visually inspected both front ABS rings and both are intact with no missing chunks or teeth. I have yet to fully remove the rear wheels to physically inspect the rings but with no...
I just swapped to 6 pistons from 4s and the 6 pistons are grabbier initially. From what it sounds like, you didn't bleed right. You need to bleed in such a way that the bleeder valve remains entirely enveloped in brake fluid so that no air ends up back inside the lines. You also need to add...
I've been lowered for around 40,000 miles, so I can't imagine the issue would have taken 3 years to show up.
What I'm gathering is I may have moved things around when trying to change the rear brake pads so I'll be investigating the corner I pulled apart this week. Issue didn't arise until...
Already checked all 4 wheels for play. No play whatsoever. So it seems as if a frayed wire that randomly grounds itself seems to be the issue? My car is at 53K miles.
Had issues with a wheel speed sensor bugging out which turned off ABS, Traction Control, AdvanceTrac, etc and wouldn't let me set cruise control. Took the car into the dealership to see about getting it diagnosed and the service tech instantly blamed the staggered setup. I thought that was bogus...
Took these off my non-performance pack GT to upgrade to 6-pistons from the Bullitt. Last dealership service at 50K said good life still on the pads so you'd likely get another 20K miles before needing to change those out. Dust Shields and Banjo Bolts come with if you'd like.
$250. Let me know...
Got the Bullitt big brake kit from Late Model Restoration. Didn't come with the copper crush washers like advertised so I had to reuse those for the brake line to caliper connection...
Looking for a Lightning Blue Metallic PP1 spoiler. Lightning blue was only a 2017 and 2018 color so this has been a bit hard to find. Pic of my car for reference. It came with the blade spoiler but I want something a little more loud considering the stance the car currently has. Thanks.
