If anyone is looking for an old school 'base' R this Grabber Blue w/no Electronics pkg has been sitting all summer:

In the same timeframe a half dozen Rs with Electronics pkg have sold for...
This is interesting....I rarely see over 5.5k RPMs (not keen on going to jail lol) and on two different occasions have had people roll down their windows in traffic just to tell me how "badass" the car sounds in that 2500-4000 RPM range you mentioned (in Sport Mode).
To be completely fair I...
It stinks that things didnt meet your expectations....but after hanging here for a while you should know perfection is never delivered by Ford or the dealer on these cars?
Was the dealer refusing to cover cost of fixing those things? I didnt see anything listed that couldnt be sorted...
A model of the FPC with a stand that has your chassis # on it. A sweet DVD with interviews of Ford engineers about the car/engine. Track attack info kit, a mini-poster or two. Maybe some other stuff I forgot about.
Yeah will see what Ford says...this seems to be the definition of 'road hazard' in the warranty I purchased but ya never know. Sorry I didnt mean to hijack your thread...esp given you have much bigger issues. :(
If you change your mind Extreme Custom Collision in Woodbridge could absolutely do the work...like brand new. Some really talented folks working there.
Yup...looks almost identical to the pic posted recently by a member here. Was really glad I saw that thread and knew what to look for (as my hazards were flashing on a backroad with no shoulder lol).
Yeah I have the Blue Ridge mountains here in the N. VA/MD/WV area so good driving. Lots of rocks/gravel from the side roads tho...gotta take the R to the dealer very soon because I picked up a gash in my front right wheel when a rock got wedged in the Brembo this week. Scared the crap outta me!
Nope. My R sounds perfect...have absorbed a ton of information from this site and I do not intend to EVER change anything about the exhaust system on it.
When I need to hear a 'blub-blub' V8 I take my 1970 Buick Skylark for a spin. It sounds way better than the Coyote (my opinion).
If the head unit is turned off then where does the power for the speakers for this engine supplement noise come from? Are they on a completely separate amp from the factory?
It looks exactly the same. I actually had Xpel on impact areas only & full Ceramic Pro done first. Then later I saw chips on rear panels and kept hearing debris hitting my doors so I went back for full wrap. Installer put another coat of Ceramic Pro all the way around. Point is I saw both...
$4500 full Xpel wrap + $1500 Ceramic Pro 9H on all paint, glass, interior, wheels, lugs and calipers
If i buy a car like this again will take exact same course but all will be done before I even drive it home.
It cannot use the speakers for that if the audio system is turned off correct? So the engine noise should be quieter when the radio is off? I have never been able to discern a difference.
I hate the whole idea of Ford di$&ing with the sound system like this tho...nothing is perfect i...
