This is how it goes in my area....sellin like hotcakes at $15-30k over. I know of at least 4 local R's that have sold without a single advertised mark down in the last 2mos. It is the same as it has always been imo....rich/higher wage areas pay a premium and lower median income areas have...
Fwiw I had only driven a manual once in the last 20yrs and was fine hopping right into the R. That once was a 370Z loaner a few yrs ago when I bought my Maxima. I actually felt more pressure not to screw up with it. I will say the very first takeoff in the R was at midnight in a huge indoor...
2300mi and no issues with the car so far at all. Dealer missed rear spacers during PDI so I got to around 900mi before finding that thanks to this forum. Oil level hangin stready at bottom hole so I'm watching it close but it's been there since I started checking...also ~900mi.
No issues with my ST shifter....smooth as butter, really wish my R had the same feel.
My R shifter is stiff but no shakes or functional issues yet. You gotta mean it for sure when throwing that bad boy into gear tho.
Trust me it is....I took a light year leap from a 2013 Maxima to my R. My first time ever on a track will be if/when I can get out to Toelle before May of next year. I love almost everything about the car...literally.
Some of the deeper technical aspects I see folks take issue with on these...
I paid ~$1800 for Ceramic Pro 9H Gold pkg that includes wheels, calipers, lugs, all glass and interior. It was definitely worth it to me for several reasons:
-Aesthetics...the Ceramic Pro 9H really brought out the highs and lows in my Magnetic Metallic paint. Sometimes it looks like chrome in...
Good point. Grabber blue may fall into similar area now that you mention that factor.
Wrt the orange I have to come clean....orange also evokes thoughts of Auburn and Tennessee....and my inner Roll Tide redneck just cant abide by that
Thanks Tom! And gotta admit you have me wanting to see TY in person now...cannot wait until I bump into one on the road!
Another thing I believe makes this car special is the styling is so on point that even on the color/stripe combos that I feel arent for me I very much appreciate how they...
I shouldve mentioned Ruby Red is my favorite color on these cars but my OCD could not handle the clashing Red Badge so it never got off the ground.
I liked it so much I did consider buying a maxed out Ruby GT and adding Hellion twin turbo but kept coming back to the VooDoo and R badge. Made...
I have not checked there but I def get water on either side of the trunk hinges after washing. Suds collect in there and I have to wipe them out every wash. Pop the trunk and take a peek after next bathtime youll see what I mean.
Would definitely stick with Magnetic Metallic. I probably went thru every color/stripe combo in the configurator (except AG...not for me) and always came back to it. LFG and OF definitely wouldnt change my mind.
I had narrowed down to the R or a Z06 during my search (370Z NISMO + twin turbo kit was a distant 3rd). In the end I think the Shelby name and that Red Badge w/chassis number pushed me to purchase the R. No offense to Vettes but they are a dime a dozen...even the Z06s are everywhere, well...
Would definitely check....had 900mi with my rear spacers still in before I stumbled across a thread like this one. My ride had been terrible so I got a sinking feeling and sure enough checked and they were there.
Local dealer (purchase was made elsewhere) removed them and thoroughly...
My level has been just above the bottom hole since I first checked it at 900mi. Currently at 2250mi. I check it every fill up and even have a quart I carry with me just in case but so far holding steady.
