Sounds like you paid with a debit card. When you pay for something with a credit card or debit card, an authorization is created for the amount of the charge to verify your credentials and funding. Once funding and credentials are verified, the charge is created. While it looks like you were...
I'm running MSR Cresson in TX. They have 3 configurations - a 1.3, 1.7, and combined 3.1 mile track. The 1.3 is the one that's killing me because I'm at the top of third gear most of the track, dropping into high RPMs in 2nd gear on a tight uphill hairpin. It's really technical so there's...
Ha ha - aligned on corporate greed mandating tire and helmet shelf life...to a point. I ride motorcycles on track, as well, and am not sure I'd want to take a header in a 10 year old or older helmet.
@GTP - thanks for the input. Any guidance on date codes? I picked up a 2019 GT350 last year with 780 miles on it. Date codes on the tires are 2019. I've heard that you shouldn't run the tires on the track once the date code is 5 years old, which is where I'm at. Do you think I can still...
I did a track day yesterday and my Cup 2 fronts look like they might be done. This is my first time using Cup 2s on a track. Do these need to be replaced or can I use them for another track day?
One thing is clear - the tires wore so badly on the outside of the fronts that I think I need...
I did a track day today and by the end of every session, my car was running pretty hot. Oil was 284-288 mid way through most sessions. It was a tight track and high in the RPM's in 3rd gear a lot. Shifting to fourth would have resulted in an immediate downshift back to 3rd. I'm starting to...
If you read through all of the other posts, everyone has said their communication is severely lacking. I ordered parts this year over their Memorial Day sale for the same reason you did - 20% off. I ordered in May this year and received my Birds in late July. Ordered track canards at the same...
Bought Track Canards for my 350 in March and you guessed it....still waiting. Have emailed several times with no response. I won't ever be purchasing anything from Archetype ever again. I did actually receive my BiRDS system from them 3 months after ordering and the quality is awesome...
I run PS4S all around on the street - 305s up front. You can run 315 or 325 PS4S out rear if you're just street driving. I don't recommend going that wide out back of you're tracking it, as you'll introduce quite a bit of understeer. I run square 305 Cup 2s on the track.
Similar mileage, same year, cars on CarGurus seem to be running in the $50-$55k range. So the fact that they did drop the price to $49k could signify an issue. Or they just want to move it quickly. Inventory sitting on a lot without a lot of foot traffic costs money.
They were probably on the high side and want to move it. The GT350 is sort of a niche car - not for everyone. I'd pick up an extended warranty for peace of mind and probably have it take to a mechanic for a once over before purchasing.
It's $48,995 now so you're only $995 off. Pull the trigger even if you can't get it down $995 more. You'll regret losing it over less than $1k. The GT350 is one of the most intoxicating cars you can get into.
