  1. Welp...5 months in...

If you are in the NOVA area, check out Quality Auto Repair in Fairfax, VA. I've had great luck with them in the past for body work - decent prices and excellent service.
  2. OEM Ford accessories: Lighted sill plates UPDATE: Installed

Thanks Zack - looking at your pics, is the blue on the sill plates similar to the blue/green color on the rest of the console or significantly different? I'm hoping it adds to a cohesive look.
  3. Borla Exhaust for V6

Out of curiosity, are they the "Ford Racing by Borla" type exhausts or simply Borla? Either way I'm sure they are quality parts.
  4. MRT Hood Struts

Is there anyone else who owns the new MRT strut design have input?
  5. MRT Hood Struts

Has anyone bought these struts since their redesign (mounting with one bolt)?
  6. What mufflers did you install on your V6? (not axle backs)

I'm waiting to see if the V6 will get a Ford Racing exhaust system (by Borla I believe). I've had Flowmasters before and while they sounded great but turned into some rusty cans.
  7. Pony lights from the mirrors

Pony shown statically as you drive - yes, there is probably a way such as simply rewiring/adding a switch. Pony shown running as you drive - probably not as it would be a limitation of the hardware. I believe the current functionality is simply light through a filtered lens. New hardware such...
  8. V6 ENGINE COVER?

The modifications are really as simple as making a few incisions and ensure that the tubes fit underneath nicely. Regarding other manufacturers, I don't want to put words in their mouths, but I sincerely doubt we'll see any other covers for the 3.7L if history is any indication. Otherwise I'm...

  10. S550 V6 vs Eco Performance data

I understand and try to be objective as well but unsure what you think I said was uncivil or impolite. Making blanket statements like the EB is better no question etc. is just opinion which we can do without. I get the sense that a few members seem to possess an elitist attitude as soon as...
  11. S550 V6 vs Eco Performance data

oilfieldtrash - out of curiosity have you even driven the 2015 3.7L V6? It really is a valid question - why do you think it comes up frequently? The engines are close enough in stock form regardless of how you look at it and each have their own advantages. Tuned, you are right, the EB will...
  12. Some idiot hit me at Walmart...bad

The ironic thing is that I almost always park away but half the time some smart ass decides to park right next to me anyway (we're talking > 10 spots all around).
  13. Pothole Paranoia-No Spare Tire!

It comes with both (scissor jack/lug wrench) and the spare will fit a 20" tire but not the Brembo brake package from what I understand.
  14. Finally, a 2015 V6 Review!

Yes, trade it in immediately! :p Seemed like a fair assessment to me.
  15. How much Oil is your V6 catch can collecting?

I commented in this post already about my JLT Oil Separator: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10209&page=3 To me, the catch can has become a necessity due to the fact that there is indeed oil in the can less than 700mi driving with it. When I do my first oil change I'll...
  16. Grill w/o the running horse, just smaller Tri-Bar on drivers side

I don't think T-Rex makes that grill - there is no protruding point in the middle. The grill posted above also has thicker billet it seems. By far the best looking grill for the S550 I've seen yet. Anyone else know who makes it?
  17. Finally, a 2015 V6 Review!

Found another decent review: http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2015-ford-mustang-v6 "If you’re not quite ready to take on the new and unproven Ecoboost engine, don’t care for stop-light racing, don’t hang your hat on horsepower ratings, and if you want the best-value Mustang...
