It's not just American muscle. There are other cars that are even worse, like luxury cars (except maybe Lexus). I'd say American muscle cars are about an avg. drop.

To put it simply, it's the exhaust humming fairly loudly in the cabin (and outside) while you are cruising at a steady speed. It can be cool when you are young, but gets really old quick. Especially when trying to have a conversation or listen to music cleanly.

I have to be honest and say I don't think it looks quite right because of the fact that the front tires have a bigger sidewall than the rear. It's very obvious to my eyes & definitely should be the other way around, if not even. Also, needs to be lowered. That's a nice Shelby though!
