What’s up guys, I scored a brand new in box ported CJ yesterday by Bret barber at AFS and installed it. Hoping the car will see 550+whp SAE now as it sits. I really like the Ford Performance logo. Fits the car much better.
yes I think it’s worth it but show me a run that made 530whp SAE on stock manifold. I’ve seen plenty of high STD numbers. My car made 557whp STD but I don’t use those numbers.
Fat fab made 529whp STD with intake, headers and e85 and I made 557 STD. So if you want to compare STD numbers I put...
Thank you! Yep it was part of my goal to put some good info out there with results on the CJ manifold on these cars.
No spacers. It’s all the way down. No NVH increase at all. Feels just like stock still and headers clear everywhere still. Obviously they are down a 1/2” but it’s no big deal.
I used BMR engine drop brackets and then trimmed the underhood skeleton as clean as possible. Once I have it painted you’ll never know. I used a really nice piece of rubber trim to clean up the cut edge also. I can still put the factory hood heat shield back on also as I only lost two of the...
Well I put the Cobrajet setup on the dyno and it did not disappoint! 540whp/460TQ SAE. Shop temp was in the upper 70’s down here in southern Florida. Pull was in 5th gear 1:1.
Really great power for bolt on parts and tuning.
Mods are:
Lund E85R tune
unported Cobrajet intake manifold
VMP...
I know, his engine being boosted is why I said his engine will thank him later. 93 octane, 12:1 compression. Cat protection from over temp, all goes away and big power gains. Definitely worth it.
Also, before tune and headers were installed I was running B line cat deletes and a proflex commander on full E85. Took a picture of my exhaust ports before putting the headers on. Got to love E85. Ports are nice and clean. Barely any carbon!
Just installed Corsa longtubes on my 350 in my garage on jack stands. Some of the easiest headers I’ve ever installed. Great clearance everywhere and used all the factory hardware. Car has a Lund E85R tune also.
