Yah I pondered that for a bit when writing this but then it occurred to me that if I put the big caps on "next day" it would emphasize the RESULTS of the fast driving
let me know what you think I can make some changes
I know of one case of a Tech Pack going into limp mode on the street, he is a member on here and wrote about it. He had 3 passengers and was driving so reckless that the police came to his house THE NEXT DAY to investigate. He is a Canada owner with a Tech Pack.
Actually it doesn't - just look at the frivolous class action lawsuit filed against Porsche for IMS - all the 997 editions without IMS are now considered more reliable (997 GT3 (Track ready) 997 Turbo etc. - these cars will built within the same series and the same years. So no it doesn't work...
Interesting information thank you for that write up, I had heard about the Stingray issues.
I think this lawsuit could change things for the worse for the consumer. It was in the 80's I believe Porsche stopped selling 930 Turbo's to the United States altogether because of litigation...
Track Pack prices just went up that's for sure - you see the production numbers? These dimwit dealers all ordered those big heavy seats with no cooling - everyone had a choice here - 70% went with the wrong choice.
Sell your car, own your mistake and get a Track Pack. Anybody getting on board with this suit is a fool - you will make that firm very wealthy and you all will get very little.
Your situation sucks i'll give you that and I personally think the "Tech Pack" should have never been born. However back in 2015 when ordering the GT350 through a Ford dealership I was sent a PDF form detailing the differences between the Tech, Track and R models. After reviewing them during a...
Yup! Just like the Porsche IMS - my independent who also deals in high end sports cars told me he gets calls from all kinds of people wanting to buy 930 Turbo or a 993 and they ask "Is the IMS ok?"
Out of the thousands of Porsches he has serviced he has seen a total of 3 IMS failures in...
I've already seen one news site I think "Carbuzz.com" asking for feedback from owners - I've got pictures and videos of all the amazing track days I had I plan on sharing with all news organizations.
It's already started!
You're going to have people with bad information who who will assume 2015 and 2016 is no good. For the record the 2015/16 TECH PACK is the car affected - these are non track editions that most of us knew not to touch. Apparently there are new track enthusiasts who are...
