  1. UPDATED: Stock 2018 GT A10 2nd time at track - 11.9

Sonoma Raceway is my local track. I’ve never had decent launches, 1-2, or 2-3 shifts. My PP car has 3.55s and just wheel hops in drag mode. Your 3.15 rear end may be better for Sonoma Raceway’s lack of track prep. I can confirm drag mode with selector in S; shifts softly. That’s due to the...
  2. 1000HP s550 budget build

This. Pick a tuner and ask them what works. I guess you might want to use that power? If so, add these items 1) Clutch 2) Drive shaft 3) Axles 4) Drag radials Punching it at 80+ and having the car try to swap ends isn’t fun. Cheers,
  3. 1st Autocross!

I highly recommend getting out there. You just don’t know what these cars can do until you push them. I’m only at about 75% after two events. The car stops great. I need to brake later. I need to carry more speed through the turns. My on board G meter showed 1.1G braking, 0.82G...
  4. New 2019; Magneride Is Sweet

Yes, Magneride is worth it for a daily driver. Yes, IRS subframe lock outs are needed to allow the rear end to communicate with the driver. A dedicated track car and track only suspension will be faster on the track. Cheers,
  5. What wheels for flush stance on 275/305s

That front spec is perfect for P285R35s. I prefer 55 offset for the rear wheels. My 50 offset pokes a little too much. Cheers,
  6. Borla Exhaust SwitchFire X-Pipe for the 2015+ Mustang GT

You are correct. I just watched an install video and the cat pipe is swaged down also. Damn Ford; Why you wasting time and money swaging both resonator and cat pipes, if you’re gonna butt. connect them. Cheers,
  7. Borla Exhaust SwitchFire X-Pipe for the 2015+ Mustang GT

Yep. The ID of the resonator replacement should be larger than the OD of the cat pipe to fit over it; not reduced to fit inside the cat pipe. It would be worth the extra $ to have a new larger clamp. (2.25/2)*(2.25/2)*3.1459 = 3.97 [square inches] (2.5/2)*(2.5/2)*3.1459 = 4.91 [square inches]...
  8. Borla Exhaust SwitchFire X-Pipe for the 2015+ Mustang GT

Hi Borla, When will you make a resonator replacement that slips over the cat pipes? Resonator replacements that slip inside the cat pipes seems like an unnecessary restriction. Thanks,
  9. 10R80 Burnout Track TT

You release the brake pedal when the initialization completes. That way you don’t burn up the rear brake pads. Pressing OK during the burnout unlocks the front brakes and lets the car roll out. Cheers,
  10. Chassis Mounted Front Splitter, Request

Coupling nuts, all-thread, and lock nuts. I didn’t paste links for the all-thread or flat head hex screws...
  11. 10R80 Burnout Track TT

Here’s how I do it. 1) Roll rear wheels through the water. Don’t spin in the water it will coat your wheel wells and drip on the tires during your run. 2) Select D, Drag mode, and disable advance track. 3) Use line lock. 4) Spin em until smoke appears in side view mirrors. I like ~30MPH. 5)...
  12. Adding ceratec to oil quick question

In my 2018 I dumped a 5 quart jug in first. Then I dumped two bottles of Ceratec in. Then I filled each of the now empty Ceratec bottles with the second 5 quart jug and poured the rest of the 5 quart jug into the engine. So, I only had 10 quarts in the crank case. So far; so, good. Cheers,
  13. Tick/Rattle and Timing

No. But, you can see the PIDs I used in this post https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/found-new-way-to-go-slower.108161/ Look at the red line in the bottom panel. KR is for Knock Retard. It goes up when the trans over reved during the 2-3 shift. Cheers,
  14. Tick/Rattle and Timing

I did this experiment last year with an HPTuners dongle. I saw the 2K rattle aligned with the direct injection pump pressure ramping up. I looked for and did not see any knock retard being applied. This was a 3rd gear light throttle event; too much engine load and the rattle disappears. Cheers
  15. Question on my just arrived vertical links.

I’ve been using Prothane grease. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ptp-19-1751/overview/ Cheers,
  16. First oil change & I Noticed Some Markings

That’s the EPAS module. My guess is it was leaking and they re-sealed it. Cheers,
  17. Ford vs. Ferrari trailer

I wonder how they got Shelby and the drivers to use Willow Springs for this promo? I would have expected them to use RIR...
  18. BBQ tick - another attempt to understand

Today I changed the oil and added 2 bottles of Ceratec. The idle chatter is almost gone. Now my 2018 GT's idle sounds like my 2016 F150 idle. But, the 2000 RPM rattle is still there. I want to say the rattle is quieter; but, it’s too soon. This engine hasn’t burned any oil. But, I changed...
  19. Fellow Active Exhaust owners... Question for you....

No. AH is not the exhaust you are looking for. The reason to get AH is to make the car quieter. You are installing headers; I guess, to make more power. The Coyote needs free flowing 3” exhaust pipes to max out the power. Cheers,
  20. GT PP 305 tire fitment questions

On my 2018 magneride GT a P285/35-R19 on 10”+35 wheels is flush on the front. That same tire / wheel combo pokes about 5mm in the rear. Cheers,
