Different cars will have different mileage requirements in order for the 02 sensor to be ready. Look up "engine cycling". My out of state gt350 passed smog after I put 450 miles on it. My c7 on the other hand only passed after I put 1500 miles on it. YMMV.

Hey Niz, Where are you located? I'm in L.A. and am thinking of picking up a radar detector. I'm trying to decide between this R3 or the upcoming R7...just wasn't sure whether radar detectors are still viable in CA or whether they've all switched over to lasers yet.

So did the gt500 lose the gt350 style fender vents? Every picture I’ve seen seems to have fully sealed fenders...or are they just getting better at disguising it?
