General practice on most cars is to use a wheel chock or a 2x4 right after coming off a track session to prevent rotor damage with a parking brake.
Iām not sure whether ours are similar to other cars (ours have drum brakes in the rear for the parking brake), but would that result in any damage...
Iām running oem 5-50 motor craft. I donāt remember the CHT or intake numbers. I just remember my transmission and axle temps staying relatively cool.
This. I was mostly in 2 & 3 pretty close to redline at most times for both gears. Iām pretty new at tracking. My times are pretty slow (average around 1:35)
Gonna have to disagree here. Was at streets of willow the other day with 108°+ weather. Car went into limp mode a few times during the track sessions.
Awesome. Thanks Spacebird! Heck, I believe the air temp reached 110° at one point I was out there. Later that evening, when air temps dropped to about 96°, I noticed my oil didnāt reach 300°
It was streets of willow. I noticed the temps dropping when I shifted at lower rpms. I went about 2 laps shifting earlier. This dropped the temps back down to about 260.

Iām wondering whether ordering a whole new transmission comes with the bell housing or not. I mean, Iām not going to complain. I wonder if the original bell housing was just defective
