mosport when into limp at 15 to 18 mins. next day it was very cold and extremely windy, no limp. you can try to cool the tranny yourself in between sessions, you know, like run a genetor and use a leaf blower to cool it yourself. personally i would not risk it anymore, going limp on the back...

z51 is faster, i was barely able to keep up with it in a long back straight, for sure i was not able to pass him. however, the OHV engine is not as free- reviing as the voodoo, nor anywhere as special. over all z51 is a faster car. less power but more tq and less weight.

its all about how the engine is balanced, some engine like the BMW inline6s does not have primary and secondary vibration issues by design, when you rev sky high the engine is still smooth as silk. on flip side go drive a 370z and the v6 engine will start to shake like no tomorrow from 5000rpm...

99% sure it is a loose filter. usually the lines are pretty secure.

said from day 1 this engine has a pretty high NVH, put your hand on the shiftier you will know what I mean. the stock torque of 17 lb-ft is not enough, even from the factory you can tell they over torque the filter, impossible to remove by hand and you will need a tool to get the filter off.

i can confirm when i hit limp, the message was for the engine. and the engine temp is no where near the danger zone, only 220-230F. btw i waited a full 3 hours before changing my tranny oil, the tranny case is still kinda hot. honestly to this day i couldn't believe Ford didn't at least...

nice video, what app is this, to get the rpm, speed readings? I use Harry's lap timer. then I had to record on gopro(more stable), then transfer back to the phone, then sync the video, its PITA.

if I can offer one advice, as soon as you hit limp the next step is upshift quickly to gain speed. cause the car behind is not expecting you to hit limp

yeah that's me, nice to meet you. and I did see your GT3 and the white GT-R and GT350R in the S/I group I think. you guys are fast, brake very late in turn 1. the GT-R in comparison sounded almost muted compares to the R and your car. well hopefully one day I can join you guys.
