That's been listed in this thread a couple of times and I had the same problem. Have them loosen the clamp on the intake tube and throttle body then tighten up the airbox. Get the intake tube lined up as best as they can on the throttle body and then adjust after a few heat cycles...

I have the same wheels on my car. The "polished" aluminum is actually a clear coated aluminum. There is a black version of this wheel that is sold on newer model years. You might be better off trying to find a set of those.

I think found the install instructions for the intake. It looks like the Cobra Jet throttle body uses two connectors instead of 1. Look at page 27, step 41 to see the harness install and mods to the factory connector...
