I work in the oil industry ..and I love mustangs..and I like all things mechanical ..... mainly because you can see how things work..but I gotta tell you, the thought of not checking and changing coolant not checking or changing oil.. same with tranny fluid....the whole simplification of it...

if all this is true anyone with a supercharger would also have stopped the noise at least those running small belt,this should be easy to verify right?

I'm 95% sure the rattle isn't injector noise its mechanical fuel pump noise and i'm about 75% sure the tick has something to to with the variable valve timing, that's why earlier cars ticked but didn't rattle ..nothing at all to do with tolerances that's why all analysis come back clean... and...

just traction control 90% of time, advance trac doesn't kick in unless its getting major sideways which you want, rather than the wall

If any of the noises, the tick or the rattle, were detrimental to the engine the engine would have issues over time..1 the noise would increase in severity 2 the car would start using oil. 3 the car would start losing power and or mileage....if its not doing any of those things its just a noisy...

and all those engines they had on test cells before releasing the engines never did this? or are you all saying they did and ford said "fuck it lets build a few hundred thousand in trucks an cars and see what happens? "

any breaks on procharger?

I had same issue on 3-4 passes.... it was over revving when tires would break lose on 1-2 shift and hit rev limiter...I guess the tranny cant compensate enough when tiresbreak lose to grab another gear fast enough...once I got more tire it never happened again

1000's of people run without transbrake staging deeper or shallower to get last yellow to work for them

its roughly 30 to 40 rwhp I don't have dyno numbers I test a drag strip..which equaled .3 and 4-5 mph

I agree with this totally I don't find the tick or the rattle with my car appealing in any way, but I understand that's how it is if you want horsepower , mileage and emissions..and its not that annoying really

Again I ask ..what is ford getting away with by selling a car that makes noises you don't like? are you losing mileage, does smoke and smell?? are putting in more oil than average? does it stall out and die? Is it down on power? Have they cancelled your warranty? if you cant answer yes to any...

how would they make any more or any less profit covering anything up? if there is metal shavings in the oil they will be fixing the car under warranty eventually anyways ...explain to me how this affects profit? You realize these engines were put on test cells and ran full rpm for days at a...
